Ideas for succession games
I have some ideas for some succession games:
1) the multi-nation successsion game:
all players must come from different nations.
2) parallel succession game:
two teams play the same nation on the same map; it would be interesting for newbies like me to see the differences in the playing styles.
3) 12 cities succession game:
only twelve cities are allowed to build
4) no wonder succession game:
no wonders allowed (I think, a real challenge, even for the experts)
anybody interested?

Ramses II, just start, someone will follow! (be sure to specify if you're playing MGE, 2.42 or others )

As soon as the current pile of succession games clears out, I plan to begin one on a large real-world map. 7 civs, raging hordes, etc. Perhaps not on deity if the non-deity players want to be included. (I actually prefer to play on emperor, the micromanagement of deity is less fun to me)
Another idea, Ramses II., is to play a scenario. We've had good fun with that.

Some other ideas:
The vet succession game fo civ veterans over 40 years (What about you, SG[1] ? are you over 40 like me?)
The no-ship succession game (it isn't allowed to build any ships, but it is allowed to bribe them).

54!
I generally play island worlds - a no-ship game would be testing (bloody impossible?) as a SP challenge - I somehow don't think it could fly as a Succession Game

Ok, my new definition for a civ veteran:
let's add your age and the years you're playing civ...
So Straybow and Marquis de Sodaq could join!

[inbred, goat-felching bible-thumper]
We must bring the message of Jebus to those Satanic little green men!
[/inbred, goat-felching bible-thumper]
Actually, would we switch to Fundy the turn before we land, the turn before we launch, or whenever we get the appropriate advance? (If either of the first two, it'd be damn easy. The third one...)

If you want to make the jihad a real challenge (and in light of the loss of trade arrows in fundy) why not make it a 0-science game after fundy is acquired?
Or better yet, science has to be set at 0 after Trade is discovered
