As long as there weren't any vowels or consonants involved.

I checked in last night around 10pm. No one was online.
BTW, can we all confirm July 20?

July 20 should be okay - if I'm still married at that time.
I was around at 10pm but went to bed shortly after.
2 early nights in a row - and tonight is Hydey's darts.
I'd like to get some time in on that 3 way - its shaping up very nicely. Should be an exciting finish.

I assume you'll let me know rather than have to scour the Public Notices.

FoxSports shows some of the darts comps from England. They wear funny little white shirts plastered with sponsors' logos - Arrowsmith's Pork Pies, etc. I wonder whether Hydey has a sponsor? The Pom players also seem not to be allowed to drink alcohol while competing. I assume that would rule out an English pro darts career for Hydey.

I think I can predict what will happen.

Oh? Do tell.
I can predict that Hydey's annoying little diplo is going to get expelled next turn. I asked him to remove it and he said he would. What he didn't say was it was going to cross the damn continent getting out

Hydey will tread down the nukes path and you'll tread down the invasion path via either ocean or land.

He has learned at the knee of the Parrot. I assume parrots have knees. If not, he has learned at the wing of the Parrot. Or even from beneath the Parrot's wing. I wonder if there's any wind under there. I think I might just leave this para at that.

I doubt Hydey will get nukes - even if he does his civ is so far behind it doesn't have the capacity to build many. Maybe one per decade - it would be like the falafel bomb.
I don't need to attack anyone to win so why should I?

Probably but this is more another Hydey mystery play. I just gave him my damn map, but he's still got this diplo which is about as useful as tits on a bull wandering around getting in the way of my caras, LOL. Why he didn't just put it back on the ship from whence it came we'll probably never know.
I think he landed the diplo AFTER we had just exchanged maps

He was under-resourced in that other game where he was tossing nukes like water bombs. You only need a couple in the right place to make a mess.

That's the whole point. It's an irritant. Classic Parrot technique. The difference, of course, is that it fits into an overall Parrot strategy. Here it's technique without context.

I think this game is heading for space race.
Have you seen Hydey's civ? It looks like Campbelltown after the bushfires.

You mean the complete and utter lack of roads? Sending trade to Hydey's eastern territories is spooky. I swear one of my Beads caravans passed a film crew shooting "Burke & Wills 2 - Stumbling Around Like Nongs In The Deserts Of The Afterlife".
I also remember one game of ours a while ago that seemed to be heading for a space race.

Oh! One of my Cloth caravans reported passing a convoy of Valiant stationwagons. That explains it.

I thought it was Hydey. Then again, I suppose you have to incline before you can decline.

Lucky he's got darts tonight. By tomorrow night, by the time Supersneak has filled the rest of the page with his Las Vegas anecdotes, Hydey won't get to read any of this.

Actually I think the Hydians must be very environmentally aware - they have preserved their territory as a pristine wilderness for centuries.

The diplo was never on a ship , it has wandered around your lands , getting in your way, slowing down your progress, just the way finbar wanted it too.

I do only have 1 city larger than size 18, another 12 cities are 12+ but by Aussie standards they are still small.

I was online until 8:30 and then I went and watched RAW
Mrs Hydey and I will be arriving in Canberra on Friday (19th) evening as guests of the Horse family and then we might continue into finbarville for the 20th.
Will horse give me his real address or will I just leave a nuke in a suitcase on every street corner of the A.C.T.

We wear funny black shirts with logos , yes we drink while playing darts, it doesn't seem to hurt my game
The darts we play in no way resembles the TV stuff, lucky to hear 180 once a season rather than every second throw.

That reminds me-- I'll be staying at The Mirage in Vegas, which is just down the way from both the Bellagio and the Venetian, two establishments I'm sure Finbar would greatly enjoy.
Of course, Horse would likely be at Circus Circus with his brood, and Hydey at the Motel 6 downtown, where he could be close to all the strip clubs and "working girls".
11 days and counting to my impending nuptials...bought my ring last night at a pawn shop (negotiated the price down to $165 from $465...god, I love turning the tables for a change).
As long as I get to go to the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton, the trip will be well worth it.
I've already told M(r)s. Sneak that things are going to change drastically in our home on the 21st. I remarked that the ring I bought was a "magic" ring that was going to transport us back to the 50's, requiring her to have my dinner prepared and warm for me each night, accompanied by a dirty Martini, slippers and newspaper, folded open to the Sports section.
After a brief pause she looked at me and did one of those classic mad scientist laughs.

What if the former owner from whose property it was burgled happens, by chance, to be in the Fried Peanut Butter Sandwich Annexe of the Elvis Presley Chapel just as you're slipping it onto Dame Sneak's pinkie?

Oregon has strict laws for pawn shops. And, if you'll allow me to engage in a little dichotomy, I only shop at the upscale hawk shops.

God...fried peanut butter sandwiches...that man was a genius! (He also added bananas...or plantains or whatever you call them there.)
Don't worry about missing the action...I'll be posting a Webcast link on Poly that will allow you to watch the blessed event live!
Only in America...

Bananas. Plantains looks like a misspelled version of where bananas are grown.
