Favorite Wonder Movie
I don't know if anyone ever asked this before though here I go.
I just discovered my original Civ2 CD and just for the fun of it I decided to check out the wonder movies because with my German FW version I cannot see them.
I never realised how much I actually missed those wonder movies. Several of them I really enjoyed seeing again after possibly years of neglect.
So I started wondering what other people might think of the movies.
Here are my favorites in no particular order:
The Lighthouse
The Great Library
Magellans
Adam Smith Comp.
Michellangelos
Isaac Newtons Uni.
Darwins Voyage
Hoover Dam
and
The SETI Project
So what are your favorites?

I forgot all about those. I always liked the Hoover Dam, because I live near it and have admired it. I do like the music to Bach's Cathedral.
In fact I think I'll play my next game with the original cd. It's been a while.

What does the Manhatten Project look like? - I guess I shall just have to build the sucker just to find out...
Hanging Gardens - it means I've won! (just have a tiny bit of sleazing to do first...)

Mao and SG1 - you can just use Windows Explorer to look at the civ2/video directory on your CD (MPG too!). Double-click on any of the movies to view them. Numbering is as in rules.txt (00=pyramids, 01=hanging gardens, etc.).

I should check them all out. I think there are some wonders I have never built. I finally built a Lighthouse for the first time ever last game. But I still haven't built Hanging gardens or Marco Polo's.

I think I've only ever built the Lighthouse once, and I can hardly remember what it looks like. I'm stuck between the Hanging Gardens and the Oracle for a favourite, followed by Darwin's Voyage and the United Nations (which always reminds me of M*A*S*H* ...) I don't like the Hoover Dam much and King Richard's is a bit boring.

This is a bit off-topic, but I love the music to King Richards Crusade and Issac's College. Can anybody tell me the names of these pieces and the composers?
BTW, JS Bach's is also cool, but I already know that music's composer.

I've been trying to find out about who composed the music for some of the wonders for a while now. I know it was some one well known but I just can't think of the name.
Mustly the music is the best about the wonder movies although I do like the movies itself, as well.

A technical question...
The movies look great at 200% in windows Media player - is there any way they can be played at 200% (or even full screen) in the game itself?

My favorite wonder movie is Leo's. I like it for the music I think they took it from "cantaloop" by US3.

For the music: Colossus, HG, Hoover (powerful) and Leo's ( I always wondered about that music, thanks!).
My favourite is WS, though. Great movie with those angry and proud women fighting for their rights. The music ain't bad either...
