Tech Advancement
How fast do you all tend to advance? Even as the Persians on chieftain it seems to be going slowly for me. Sometimes I wish that time passed slower and that the research speed of techs was increased.

The tech will progress faster at higher levels. At chieftain and warlord the AI can't research and produce as fast as you, thus you have to research most of the techs yourself. At regent and higher the AIs research well and you will have plenty trading opportunities for tech.

When you say plenty, don't you mean all your tech has to come from trading on higher levels

I agree, at higher levels the AI has been given such a big "head start" that virtually all your techs will be bought from the AI.
