Of Finnish names:
Pyry. Absolutely the most horrifying Finnish name you can give to a boy.
Isaskar. The second most horrifying Finnish name you can give to a boy. Almost seems to say "my parents are pot-smoking poets, and some day I will be one, too".
Uuno, Tauno. Only 60-year old fat old men with perpetually amazed look can have these names.
Nuutti. I rest my case.
Nyyrikki. Enough said.
As a rule of a thumb, any name had by less than 10 people is crap.

I love the name Bethany. If a girl was called that I'd probably like her just for that
Or that may just be because emo bad The Juliana Theory did a song called August in Bethany, and when I was in the States I went to Bethany Beach to see what they liked so much about it.
Great name.
I just can't understand all these people who try to be arty-farty and name their kids Light, Air, Free, Brightness. A great way to egt your kid bullied.

Well, it's a good thing no-one's named that, then.

John, David and Michael. Those names are so overused in North America that there ought to be a twenty year moratorium on them. I was at a wedding last year where the groom, best man and two of the guys at my table were named "Dave". *shudder*

Oh, I agree!
People like to use argument of "Kids get bullied in school" when talking about gay adoption. The same people should campaign to prevent people with stupid names - or who have had a history of giving stupid names to children, or who are planning to give their children stupid names - from adopting. I mean, having a stupid name is a more surefire way to get bullied than having gay parents.

What about those who aren't even religious and yet decide to burden their son with names like Jacob, Joshua, etc...

It's easier to make sure your kid doesn't get a daft name that totally change the way society views things.
And also easier to make sure gay couples never adopt.

Brilliant. Let the orphanages stay overcrowded instead...
And it wouldn't end gay parenting, as gays and lesbians are more and more using surrogate mothers/artificial insemination. Not to mention those who are in heterosexual marriages with children first.

I think that George Carlin said it right when he listed the worst boy names: (of course, I mean no offence to anyone with these names)
Kyle
Todd
Tucker
Tyler
Taylor
I mean, when these people grow up, are they still going to be called "Tyler"? It's a cute name for a 6 year old, but not for a 40 year old.

Todd is actually not a bad name. Not great, but not as bad as "Tucker"

I really dislike the name Ghrucxohlimrf, because it's so hard to spell. Luckily enough no-one has this name.

judging from the way this list is going, we'll soon have every single name that exists somewhere in this thread.
