I say 5. 2 AI ought to liven things up since the real contest is going to be between the 3 of us.

Seven. The more the merrier.
The three human civs will probably swamp any AI civs anyway.
Edit: How are we going to prevent ballot-stuffing between the three sites ('Poly, CFC, and CGN, IIRC)? Or are we just deciding things in one place?

This is the main forum.
The forum at GC is just a backup....and now is used to register the CFC team.
Once we get going....it will probably only be used to post info for our visitors....or in the event that poly goes down.

6 - One AI civ for each human empire. Makes more sense than having an odd number...

7, the more, the merrier. Daja Vou, or stereotype? You decide. Real reason; more people to ally with and to dispute with.

I believe you're going to have a private forum set by Mark.
If you're from Apolyton team you must apply in the link provide by Mark in this thread.
BTW, I voted 7 civs.

I like 7. The 3 main powers can have 4 other, probably lesser powers that they'll likely take over, and whose land they'll colonise, making things more interesting. If an AI nation is dying at the hands of one human team, the other two may want to join in, so that they can get some of the AI's land, rather than have it to fall into the hands of the other human team...
Or something.
More is like... more fun... and stuff.
Ahem.

LUCKY SEVEN.............
More target practivce for the Apolyton Army
Besides with three human players the game gets quite difficult so some grunts to take advantage of will be nice
