Didn't know there was a Scouse Code. Thanks for clearing that up. But if you're going to ask for clarity in parentheses, I'll have to ask for the proper spelling of my handle as well (see your order of play list).
"Otherwise"????

It would be nice; I leave for Boston Sunday a.m. (Will have email but no Civ on this trip.)
Meanwhile, I'll work on my Priestess schtick.

My deepest apologies for not posting sooner. Life has gotten very busy of late, and I fear I must bow out of this one. I look forward to reading the logs once things settle down a bit.

Message received. DL tonight, play tomorrow. If I haven't posted a save by Sunday 6 a.m. CST (that's noon GMT) it'll go to Hydey. Well, it'll go to Hydey no matter what, right?
This is a new concept for me. Trade Trade Trade, right?? Wish me luck.
(Would play tonight but it's my night to party with Ming and rah)

I returned a day early, so I should be able to jump in whenever I'm needed.
Alternatively, you could switch my position in the lineup with El Civ's...

Rather Quiet - they don't like us ...
A fairly boring set of turns - I did little but try and get some infrastructure and grow the cap a tad ...
High Priestess Game
640 = Wonder why our capital is only size 7 and why we have really poor yield overseas routes in place ... Let's have some happy faces ...
660 = Medicine selected for research; Celebrations in Jihadsville, Temptation Isle, Three Forks, Slim Butts, Men-an-Tol & Glastonbury;
680 = Markets in Jihadsville & Temptation Isle; Celebration in Three Spoons; Great Shaman & Seven Brothers founded;
700 = Settler joins capital -> 8; Cloth, Men-an-Tol 38g; Barb fleet off Stonehenge sunk (5 units); Salt, Slim Butts, 38g;
720 = Vikings destroy Great Shaman;
740 =
760 = Silver, three forks, 28g;
780 = Aqueduct in Stonehenge; TharSheBlows founded; food to Stonehenge;
800 =
820 = Settler slain by evil Viking - revenge will come soon; Medicine -> Sanitation; Spice, Jihadsville, 84g; Another Whale founded; Crook evenges Settler becomes Vet;
840 = Temple @ Temptation Isle; Granary @ Stonehenge; Food to Stonehenge;
860 = Shakespeare's Theatre;
880 = Salt, Three Forks, 44g; Cloth, Slim Butts, 38g; Silk, Men-an-Tol, 42g; Copper, Inquisitor Isle, 88g;
We should get a Bank in Stonehenge next turn and have two cities churning out the food caravans for growth - Temptation Isle seem a good site for an experimental Starving Silicon City ...
enjoy SG[1]

Guys, I'm really sorry. "Required tasks expand to fill the available time."
I dl'd the save Friday, went to hang with Ming/rah/et al., slept, rose, performed a couple honey-do's, ate, and logged on to learn that my CEO's speech required another edit, which meant a full revamp of the PowerPoint. :angryban:
Got offline and got to work on that, figuring I'd stay up and conclude my day with some High Priestess fun. Well, it wasn't to be. Something was corrupt in the DL savegame, and no attempt met anything even approximating success. Since it wasn't a ZIP, my standard procedures failed.
By this time, it was midnight in Chicago, with alarm clock set for 5am. I crashed, figuring you'd have figured it out by then.
So, sorry to contribute to the delay, everyone.
I'm on laptop this week (work machine), so no gaming, but can at least check in on the forums. Looking forward to the upcoming SG(2) effort.

Before taking office, Druid Git 2 prayed for strength at the Temple of Stonehenge. Not that he was religious...but new leaders are expected to do this sort of thing...and the press were watching. It was sunset. The western sky was bathed in orange. Gradually clouds covered the sinking sun and the sky looked purple. Yes...it was a vision the orange goes purple...that fat Greek despotism with their rich treasury must be tamed. Night fell along with the blackness of TOTAL WAR
0900 - The taskforce for Greece sets sail.
0920 - Hut 50g.
0940 - Vikings attack on Cyborg repulsed. Back up force sails for Sparta.
0960 - Salt to Akkad 488g. Nomad from hut...but the village was on a grassland tile...can that happen?
0980 - Sanitation Viking city of Westness bribed for 83g (15 plundered) Navigation taken.
Sparta captured 93g plundered. Green Altar founded.
1000 - Stonehenge size 10 Babylonians declare war! Well I only wanted a bit of tribute OK ... Nineveh bribed for 269g (37g plundered) Invention taken; Western Text founded. Silk x 2 to Stonehenge 50/31g.
1020 - Stonehenge size 11; Sparta builds City Walls; Salt to Ur 44g;
1040 - Stonehenge size 12; Sparta builds Barracks; Thermopylae captured 94g plundered.
Peace/maps with Chinese;
1060 - Stonehenge builds Sewer System;
1080 - Silkport founded;
1100 - Stonehenge size 13; Greeks start on Magellan's; Silver/Silk to Beijing 155/168g; Silk to Athens 330g.
1120 - Men-an-Tol builds Leonardo's Workshop
1140 - Economics - Stonehenge builds Harbour now size 14 Currently researching Democracy ...should be there in about 5 turns. Several of the AI civs have just acquired Bridge Building which is worth pinching. My successor has some thinking to do...build SoL and go Fundy?

I had a tendency to rely upon ironclads for changing flag colours, but it seems that prayers in Stonehenge also are very efficient. Good job .

The press were watching? Where do you think we are, in a Republic, in a Democracy? ... even in Communism the press is watching only what the rulers want to be watched, in fundy they can watch only what God wants... in other words what their leaders tell them the God has decided...
or not?

2 questions...
First - is El Civ still out? If so, its my turn, correct? (It's been soooooo long )
Second - given that I'm up in the Sticky Mouse game, which is also Scouse-administered - which one should I play first?
Either way, it should be played by the weekend.
