Nice one Vlad, such wisdom might tempt me to think you post like you play.
It's a monster. An hour a turn to play properly. The good news is that Fusion Power will be in next turn which will allow the launch. At war with everyone...especially the Russians who have started their own spaceship. Will post a log later.

Guys, I will be away this weekend on a short vacation, and will be swamped with work when I get back. Thus, I propose that my turn be skipped, as the order is:
SG(2) (has the ball).
Hydey
STYOM
La Fayette
Vlad A.
Since H. and V. are so very eager, I humbly suggest they play after SG(2)
That's assuming that there is any playing left to do So, we're in a space race with the Russians, eh? One wonders why the Americans didn't nuke Moscow in 1957 and drop some paratroopers in, thus bringing Sputnik back to earth
STYOM
edit: La Fayette plays before Vlad Antlerkov

I don't think there will be too much action left
The Russians are no longer with us. Just need another hour (doing it right now) to tidy things up.
STYOM many thanks for managing the game during our extended vacation

Gulp! Not an easy situation to micromanage especially when every other city is called Lutefisk! Goes through empire on a name changing spree. Sell remaining granaries as we own the Pyramids. Interesting ship chain...there are around 16 transports in and around the waters of Salamis.
Noted that the Russians have also started a spaceship.
Turn luxuries down from 50% - 30%
All city improvements bought, all freights rushed.
1863 Russians sneak attack And so do the Egyptians, who have changed from Demo to a Monarchy. (Quite a cute move as our trade routes are suffering from the arrow loss)
Combined Arms Superconductor next
Fast reinforcement of our foothold on the Russian continent.
St. Petersburgh captured 560 gold in plunder.
Coal to Akkad 271g Other trade 374/384/104/364/507; Akkad captured353g plunder.
Uruk falls to bribery
Midway Island founded along the ship chain
Greeks declare war when asked to move troops
1864
Superconductor Fusion Power is on the menu!
Trade 260/420/328/240/147/304g;
Moscow captured 550g plunder but Russian government escapes to Sevastopol.
KievCaptured 528g plundered
Asyut bribed from Barbs for 304g
1865
Fusion Power
Smolesk captured 508g captured
Russian Spaceship destroyed Sevastopol (Capital) captured 637g plundered
Spies report that the Babylonians have started building a spaceship.
Tiblisi bribed for 987g...Russians destroyed
Ellipi and Ur captured 315 & 341 plundered
Trade 332/324/184/88/28/28/34/76/51/122/74/70/100/116/128 wanted to reach Stealth
Midway Major founded

Stealth
Babylon & Eridu captured with 327 & 83 plundered ... no more spaceship for them! They have one city left - Ashur.
We have won...thanks to all who played ... it was a good interesting game
I'm off to bed Anyone want to take the last few years and finish off the bad guys?

Most excellent! Leave the boards for a month, come back and finish the game.
Any chance I can get you to post the file as a .ZIP so I can view on my lowly Mac?

do we still have doubters that refuse to believe that the Faithful can aspire to the stars (in the 19th Century) without accepting the soft 'democratic' ways of the West???

Good Game all!
I have no business starting talk of a new succession game, as I will be really busy until November and probably not able to participate much... BUT...
Now that we have seen what it can be like to win by AC in Fundy, how about a new challenge in Democracy... except that the goal is conquest, no city bribe allowed, and only the only government switch allowed is Despo-Demo.
I remember how tricky the sticky senate game was when we were stuck in Despotism... that tricky period would last even longer before Democracy, would it not? Could be interesting...? Thoughts?

Great ... you run the game and start things off when you have some time to play. I am very busy this week, but have an idea for another game which I will float later this month. I hope you will have time to join the action.

Sounds VERY challenging to me, STYOM -- thus of great interest. MGE please. No active successions that I can access at present.

I'm up for a Demo-conquest game. (I'd only be able to play if it's MGE.)

Congratulations, ye faithful! The inquisitor is pleased. Now, please come with me... We just have a few questions, nothing to worry about.
