To patch or not to patch

I was wondering if I should install the 1.29 patch? Has anyone had any problems with it? Could someone who has installed the patch please post the new .exe file from your Civ3 directory? The game doesn't always function on my computer when I patch and to make sure I can run the patch without messing everything up I need to look at the .exe first.

Looks like we can sell techs for high prices again, to each civ the offering price didn't seem to be getting any lower after 5 trades.. Also the civs will not stop at your borders when expanding but will do what they did initially and build a city on every square of land they can find.
