I ussually create my favorite civ. I'll do it fair and most of the scen I put UU off. (Or else I have to make one up)
Recently, I have played the Europeans in a game in competition with the Greco-Romans(Jezus Christ), the Coptics(Mithras), the Punics(Hannibal, sorry couldn't make anything better up), the Arabs(Mohammed), the Persians(Zoroaster), the Indians(Sidgarta Gautama) and the Asians (Confucius)

I earlier said Egyptians were my favorite but since i got PTW, I almost always play as the Carthiginians now....They're UU(Numidian Mercenary) doesn't become obsolete until Musketmen and needs no resource....Also with the Industrial and Commercial traits fit my style well.

My thoughts almost exactly. For a while I gave up Carthage to try other civs I'd never gotten around to (Japan, Celts, India and others). That was fine, but when I went back in most recent game to Carthage--well, it was like coming home again after a long, difficult trip.

In Czech Republic, about 70% of the Civ3 community likes the Persians most. I don´t know why. But I like them most, too :-)

English because then if you win you know it wasn't because of a good UU or traits.

Which Civ is your favorite one?
None.
They are all similar and, at the same time they are quite unbalanced. More unbalanced than Aok: this is bad

What? i didn't know that the editor could change my units other than a/d/m.... come on! this game IS getting too repetitive. And about balancing: is it possible to make changes to the expasionist trait?

You can set which unit you get for free at the start and you can set which units the civ can build.

I can see that this is a very limited editor...... when Civ3 was released, I could not find out how to place cities!!

No matter how much i tried to like Civ3 i couldn't: to me Civ3 is Civ2 with better AI, and tried to copy AoK, by adding different civilizations (but as i posted above its not that different and also unbalanced) and "unique units" (a 4/3/2 knight is a 4/4/2 samurai! wow! very unique!) I mean, SMAC did MUCH MORE than this!

Therefore, unless u can guarantee that i would totally get into Civ3, i would not spend another hour(s) to Civ3.

I usually play America, because they get the latest (and greatest) Golden Age.

This means sacrificing Middle Age and most Industrial Great Wonders BUT being in 3rd or 4th place means you are less of a threat to the AI... Think about it.
