Firaxis:question reason 20 turn auto nego.
In a game I'm currently playing I went into war with the AI(Babylon). After a lengthy stalemate we signed a peace treaty. 20 turns later they come back and ask to extend our peace. None of the other civs have requested that we extend our peace deals. Will this happen only after war and 20 turns after the initial peace? Also, will the AI be able to demand more for peace after the initial offer? Thanks.

if u had a peace treay with gold per turn, or a resource in the deal, after 20 turns the AI will try to get peace again, usually without the gold / resource.

Though it would be funny to have it renegotiate regular peace deals every 20 years. "Well, it's been 20 years. Do you wanna go to war again, or what?"

Germany after ww1 was paying the french a ton of money for many years, and basically didnt want to put it with it anymore.

Well, the deal was peace for an advance. I guess thats why renegotiations were triggered, thanks.

It doesn't usually renegotiate peace for just an advance only. Like was mentioned, it involves some kind of per turn commitment: gpt, resource. If you added another per turn deal, then it would renegotiate again in 20 turns. The only time it wouldn't renegotiate would be if the deal was in its favor.
