Nothing much happened during this turnchat. We set up ‘Poly to start cranking a Warrior a turn and did some massive tech whoring at the start. In our trading we got, Construction and Currency, and started researching Feudalism which we’ll have in 37 turns. We finished our Galley and have started building another.

Traded our territory map and 278 gold for Currency with the French
Bought Construction from the Brits for Currency, 82 gold, territory map, 2 gpt

Sold Polytheism to the Russians for 17 gold and their world map

Galley in Termina moves SW SE SE
Warrior in Apolyton moves to Termina
Two workers SW of Tassagrad build mine
Timeline Spearmen fortify
Northern worker stack (6) builds road
Settler/Warrior by Banana HQ move N E E
Northern Settler/Warrior stack (between Gaia and Seeberg) clears it’s orders
Warrior in Apolyton fortifies
Termina starts working a 1 shield tile instead of a 2 shield tile
Apolyton changes its citizens from working fish, and mined grassland, to working forrests and
shielded/mined grassland, for a total of: Production 10, Food 10, Commerce 7
Termina starts building Galley
Apolyton begans producing 1 warrior a turn
710 BC
Warrior/Settler NE of Banana HQ moves east
Warrior/Settler in between Gaia and Seeberg move east
Warrior in Apolyton moves to Termina

Howdy,
Been awhile since I checked on the progress of the democracy game - last time I looked someone had a website up for turn logs, pictures, etc (I think maybe it was Trip?). Anyway - just wondering if this site is still up and what the URL is. Thanks.

For those who are interested, here are the logs of the Sunday 21 July's turnchat.
Also, I devised a trade plan for the year 1275bc here
Edit : btw, for normal citizens interested in directly influencing the game, turnchats are a must. If you keep being polite, and avoid to spam, the ministers might very well listen to you as soon as you have a good idea. You also get to vote in "quickpolls", with which many decisions are made, even those you deem stupid.
For example, the decision to build a worker in Termina, or the decision to buy 2 techs from the French were both met in "quickpolls", where the chat people had an impressive impact, even the non-official ones.

Just wanted to voice my appreciation here. Having the last two turnchat/threads always on top is VERY nice. Hope this becomes standard procedure for future administrations.

Overall, this turnchat went much better than the last one. Trades were less of a problem overall (there were less of them) and having Uber arround REALLY helped with troup movement. More ministers could still show up however, including the Foreign Affairs minister and City Planner. Also, communication was improving with everyone present at the turnchats, which really helped. I have no doubt we will have more turns next turnchat as well.
Some major points of interest. We picked up two new techs, and we are VERY close to the war now. Oh, and our road network is complete, three cheers! The tides are turning for this little Banana republic.

Could someone just tell me what city the temple was built in? I am not going to be near my own computer for a few days, and can't load up the save. Just need the city name for the paper.
Thanx

Then mine is another one. I cleaned my browser cache and even deactivated my proxy on the router and still get the 1250 save .
EDIT: Problem solved (see 2nd post), thanks Timeline.

We are about to attack the USA on two fronts!
the entire turnchat was buildup to the war. Expect a declaration of war in tommorows turnchat.
The three biggest events however were
1: We have our army at Washington's borders
2: We have a warrior convieniently about to attack a badly guarded Chicago
3: We have a settler stack enroute to Iron
Oh, and I killed my cousin in BHQ to make his son join the army as a spearman (we rush-built)
all dates in B.C. era
1225
German Warrior moves SE
Persian Warrior moves w
all 6 archers and 2 spearmen on mountain north of BHQ moves NW
3 workers nw of BHQ clear jungle
1200
German warrior moves SE
Persian Warrior moves w
army stack moves NW
1175
BHQ starts spearmen
Apolyton starts spearmen
Termina starts archer
Settler goto BHQ
Persian warrior goto tyle SE of the jungle iron
worker 2 SE of termina goes 2 tiles NE
Apolyton citizens cease working the whales over and go into forest
1150
army stack moves NW
german warrior moves SE
Worker N-NW of Poly mines
change production in 'poly from working one Forest tile to Working the Whale again
1125
Tassagrad begins archer
Army stack moves NW
Germany warrior moves SE
Settler fortifies in BHQ
rush-build the spearmen in BHQ
sell CoL to the Iroqs for 50 gold and world map.
1100
Indian wants 36 gold and TM
Telling the Indian to screw off
he doesnt blame us
army moves NW
Germany warrior moves W
Workers near BHQ: 1 worker and 1 slave build road
the other builds mine
building spearman in BHQ
settler stack (settler + spearman) move north
turnchat ends.

Because of technical constraints, Timeline cannot post a summary of 26.07.2002 chat. I post it here, along with a picture of Washington
1100 BC
We have sold our world map to Rome, for 6 gold and their territory map
We have sold our world map to the Germans for 4 gold
We have sold our world map to the Aztecs, Americans, Frenc, and Persians for one gold each
1075 BC
Tassagrad makes an entertainer, and switches to temple
Tassagrad makes taxman instead of entertainer
Established embassy in America
Bought Territory map from america for 1 gold
We have declared war against America
Spearman in poly goes to Tassagrad
Entertainment rate raised to 10%
Settler and escort move NE
Workers NW of BananaHQ mine
Worker N. NW of Apolyton digs road
Invasion Army moves North
Warrior near Chicago move west
Warrior west of Munich moves south on auto, closing in on our iron deposit
Taxmen in tassagrad changed to work road tile
Veteran warrior in BHQ moves north to defend mountain
1050 BC
interruption due to technical constraints, just after the turn begun
And now the picture of Washington 1075BC

Tora! Tora! Tora!
Hahaha.
OTOH, they must have some units somewhere. Either that or they have an aweful lot of explorers out there.
