how to cancel treaties?
when you sign a treaty, you will have to wait 20 turns before u can cancel it. but how can you know how many more turns were left. do you always have to wait for the ai to bring up the treaty. sometimes they never bring up the treaty, how can you cancel it yourself?
please email me at yuchenix@yahoo.com thank you

You can tell how many turns are left. Let's say you signed an ROP (Right of Passage) treaty with Iroquois. With 17 turns to go, click on your diplomatic window. Click on Hiawatta. He'll say whatever he says. At the bottom center there are two options" New Active". Click on Active. That will show you current diplomatic agreements. You will see"Right of Passage(17)" The number in parenthesis, 17, indicates how many turns are left.

Agreements can be a pain, especially while trying to get out of Mutual Protection Pacts when you're in democracy. All your citizens can quickly get upset and it's such a pain.

I think the only way YOU can cancel it is by breaking it. Oops. Then the rest of the world won't like you so much.
