Well it's my goddamned fault, I guess.
A) I know that Fell is just a step removed from Eyes.
(I played Fell and Happy******* just before the game referenced here).
B) It's me that insists on playing "anybody who will play".
C) I played a duel, which I hate, and let Happy******* host, same as the last time we played, and he had Explorers walking around at 3400 B.C.

My fault, my fault. It's all my fault.

In the first save you'll see me with seafaring at 3300BC. I was researching pottery when I got pottery from a hut and then seafaring from a hut all in the same turn. I was of course going for seafaring from the start seeing as how I was playing sloww. Only fitting that the first duel with sloww in 2 years leave off where I started.

So you have no doubt checked the saves, was the early explorers kosher or not?

Funny how some people always seem to get just the right tech, unit or money from a hut, doesn't it?

There's no way to influence what you get from a hut. That I know of anyway.

But huts can provide the needed "cover" if you want to "add/change" something

Can you use the 'cover' to give yourself tech or is it just gold?

You can't give yourself tech, you can give yourself 100 gold and call it a 100 gold hut like Kuja did, but as you can see I have little to no gold. And if that were the case, why would I give myself masonry? Face it, I'm god, and the sooner you start bowing to me the sooner I'll forgive this brief moment of insolence.

Your tone just doesn't seem to match your username like it used to. But I like it.

Unfortunately claiming to be god because you got pottery and map from a hut early to let you get explorers that early is hardly what I'd call skill.

But I will give you credit for beelining to seafaring. That is not a stratagy I've tried. I believe that the bigger the world and larger the landmasses would make this strat move viable. Interesting, but not godhood.

Its more than a skill when it happens in the same time frame.
If it ever happened, just once by anyone else, I could just accept it.

Well... then accept it. I've had it by that time frame in a few games. When you get a lot of a huts, and you get a ton of sciences (but in my case, usually the ones I don't want that early ) it can happen. Luck is a part of the game...

It seems to me that the great players base their stategies on early luck and quit if luck goes against them.

IF you are a god, then words cannot describe what I am...

You seem a bit pathetic actually, which is the only reason people keep you around I guess... To affirm that THEY are not as pathetic as you, which builds self confidence.

So I'll say what many probably want to say:
"O.k. you are a good Civ MP player! Perhaps you should find a new hobby now."

After the witty reply you provide here, the games will continue, and you will continue to stick your foot in your mouth. Things won't change.

For this, I can only say: "Thank you for making me realize how incredibly studly I am when placed next to a little pimpled punk like yourself."

Thanks Man! *sniff*

"IF you are a god, then words cannot describe what I am... "

Sure they can, I'll even list some.
Moronic.
Stupid.
Mentally Challenge.
Intellectually challenged.
Legally retarded.
Beginning to get an idea of ways to describe you? I hope that helped.

"You seem a bit pathetic actually, which is the only reason people keep you around I guess... To affirm that THEY are not as pathetic as you, which builds self confidence."

The only one building self confidence here is you since you obviously have none judging by your post. You should really go back to civfanatics where you can remain at least somewhat of a king in the rookie world.

"O.k. you are a good Civ MP player! Perhaps you should find a new hobby now."

I have many hobbies, most of which include physical exercise. And might I add a little physical exercise would go a long way in your case.

"After the witty reply you provide here, the games will continue, and you will continue to stick your foot in your mouth. Things won't change."

So then the poing of your post was? Again, maybe you should go back to civfanatics where everyone gets a pat on the back and you can all feel good about yourselves. Here at apolyton we have this thing called competition, and correct me if I'm wrong, but nobody said competition was pretty.

"Thank you for making me realize how incredibly studly I am when placed next to a little pimpled punk like yourself."

Hey, if you can only build your self esteem through a computer then go for it. Most of us build our self esteem outside the computer, but don't let that stop you from doing it on here.

"Thanks Man! *sniff* "

You're welcome. I can only hope that someday you'll lose those 50 pounds and then you can walk in the sunlight like us normal people do. And please, don't cry, you just have to realize that it is my job to help people like you understand that you are nothing. Only through the realization that you have no life and that you never will have one will you be able to contribute to society. I wish you good luck.

@Eyes

I love when teenies get their feelings hurt and then respond with "You are fat" or that sort of thing.

And since competition SEEMS to be your bread and butter, and talking about your Civ 2 skills and the lack of my skills (Which aren't as horrific as you make out) I think you suffer from a bit of an inferiority complex.

You discuss my fatness and my Civ skills, and MY lack of a life outside of the computer. Which, if you believe the mirror theory held by many psychologists () would lead me to believe that these are things that you are angry with about yourself.

Sorry, my young, misguided (possibly feeling a bit unwanted) friend, but I (nor anyone else here) cannot possibly help you with your deep pubescent struggles.

Insulting me about CfC is amusing, only because I tell everyone I play there that I suck, and most times back up my words. AND, your generalizing about Apolyton is wrong, considering I've played quite a few games that were for fun here, and NOT for the sheer competitiveness of it all.

I am competitive, and I might not be as good as many of the players on this site but least I don't quit, OR cheat, which seems to be something that you cannot claim.

As for getting enough exercise, I think you are pretty far behind me in that area (just an educated guess), and I STILL know that while you are squeezing blackheads between turns, and rabidly attempting to achieve "Godhood" in your own mind, most of the normal, well adjusted people are having a go at real life, not the cyber world of Godhood.

" love when teenies get their feelings hurt and then respond with "You are fat" or that sort of thing."

I'm not a teenager. And I have never gotten my feelings hurt on a computer. Unlike you I'm not trying to win a popularity contest. I am completely confident in my own self worth outside the computer that I don't feel the need to be a hero on the computer. You're simply egging me on with your posts, I'd like to thank you for that.

"And since competition SEEMS to be your bread and butter, and talking about your Civ 2 skills and the lack of my skills (Which aren't as horrific as you make out) I think you suffer from a bit of an inferiority complex."

How could I suffer from an inferiority complex if I'm perfect? Perfect people can't be inferior.

"You discuss my fatness and my Civ skills, and MY lack of a life outside of the computer. Which, if you believe the mirror theory held by many psychologists () would lead me to believe that these are things that you are angry with about yourself."

Unfortunately I don't believe the mirror theory so that statement was useless. And if you're going to try and use big words and ideas then I would suggest using proper grammar. Fatness is not a word.

"Sorry, my young, misguided (possibly feeling a bit unwanted) friend, but I (nor anyone else here) cannot possibly help you with your deep pubescent struggles."

You seem to be fixated with pubesence...

"Insulting me about CfC is amusing, only because I tell everyone I play there that I suck, and most times back up my words."

"...and talking about your Civ 2 skills and the lack of my skills (Which aren't as horrific as you make out)..."

You tell me that you're not as bad as I think you are, and then you tell me that you really suck and you even back it up in your games...which one is it?

"As for getting enough exercise, I think you are pretty far behind me in that area (just an educated guess), and I STILL know that while you are squeezing blackheads between turns, and rabidly attempting to achieve "Godhood" in your own mind, most of the normal, well adjusted people are having a go at real life, not the cyber world of Godhood."

Obviously you aren't that educated and you don't make that good of guesses. I live in Florida and I am on a full scholarship to a top 5 division 2 school for tennis. I play tennis 3 hours a day and I get up at 6:30 to do weight lifting 3 times a week. I play tennis in 95 degree temperaturs with a heat index of 110. On a tennis court that heat index is 120+. Anything else?

As for "popping blackheads", you seem to be well acquainted with the terms and procedures of pimples. I had no idea you were such an expert on it. And if you're having a go at real life, what are you doing having a flame war on a forum with me Mr. Popular?

I distinctly remember you being referred to as 16 years old sometime last year on CFC. Maybe it's just the way you act?

How could I suffer from an inferiority complex if I'm perfect? Perfect people can't be inferior.

*Mommy's Voice* "You are so CUTE... And so CONFIDENT too"

Unfortunately I don't believe the mirror theory so that statement was useless. And if you're going to try and use big words and ideas then I would suggest using proper grammar. Fatness is not a word.

Thanks for the grammar lesson... BTW, the mirror theory was a made up thing, hence the next to it. BUT, you claim to be in college, so you should have known that.

You tell me that you're not as bad as I think you are, and then you tell me that you really suck and you even back it up in your games...which one is it?

Something you wouldn't understand, or say that it's not a word. Modesty

Sure, and I hit 73 homeruns last year. Talk is cheap. PM me a link and put your money where your mouth is <------- That is a saying that means to "prove it" (Just in case you didn't get it )

As for "popping blackheads", you seem to be well acquainted with the terms and procedures of pimples. I had no idea you were such an expert on it.

Uh, I think everyone has had to pop a few in their time, but thankfully for me, that time is over... Too bad about you though... Don't be jealous, and PLEASE don't be bitter about it!

And if you're having a go at real life, what are you doing having a flame war on a forum with me Mr. Popular?

I am not trying to have a popularity contest with you, because I can't win against the oddity and humor that is "Eyes". But I can tell you that I'm bored, had a few extra hours between shifts, and thought I'd try to help you out by giving you some advice... Perhaps I could have turned a young life around... *sniff*

I guess I'll never know? Besides, if you are so willing to brush off my comments as moronic, you perhaps should re-examine why you are on a computer (while located in Florida with all that heat you are bragging about) when you could be outside getting a tan, or playing some tennis *yeah right* See, at THIS moment, I have nothing better to do than toy with your sensitive feelings.

P.S. Your physical activity description bores me. You need more cardio work!!!
