Headline News
Here are the headline news from the past six months:
Chicken caught peeing on the palace steps
A chicken was caught doing it's dirty business on the steps to the palace of His Imperial Majesty, the Sultan of Delhi. The chicken was sentenced to death and executed immediately. The Sultan was reported to have had a delicious chicken curry just two hours later.
In other news in brief...
India has a navy!
The biggest news for the coast last month was the establishment of a military navy. So far, it consists of one dhow, but the newly-assigned admiral, Zayed Abdul is positive, that, once the navy has proven it's success, more ships will be added.
Campaign in Indochina launched
A massive troop movement in the early morning hours of another peaceful day has alerted the citizens of the Indian exclave Angkor. The troops are the first part of a massive army that is to get rid of the Barbarians in Indochina once and for all.
First caravans cross Khyber Pass
A small caravan carrying goods from the Ganges valley has passed the Khyber Pass, and is on the road that leads past Kandahar, in hope of reaching the cities in the far west one day.
Secure the coast!
A large and powerful army lead by fierce Mamluck forces has set out against Goa in the south. They are expecting help from the navy.

Beautiful Khwarezm
The chinese Cavalry that was ridiculously trying to retake Tashkent has been obliterated!
The population of the city was overjoyed by its liberation and a big party was organized: the chinese horses were grilled on giant BBQs and the Khwarezmian light cavalry demonstrated its skill in a game of polo using the chinese cavalrymen severed heads as balls: a great fun day for old and young!
No further conquest was made this month as the troops were regrouping and the infrastructure further developed.
Let the liberation of Tashkent teach a lesson to those who killed cowardly killed our diplomat : if you strike the Empire, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!!
And the save:

Yes, I have done my turn but I'm unable to transport the file from my home to university (where I can have the access to Internet) - there is something wrong with my disks. I'll try tomorrow again.

CHIN DAILY POST.
As a start for things to come, the CHIN DAILY POST has uncovered a plot between the Mongol ruler and emperor Civfan to make a truce. It was a surprise to us here at the POST when we uncovered this plot. There seemed to have been a deal going around that the Mongol ruler wanted to make peace with the Chin people. Seeing either the CHIN empire is stronger than was antisipated, the Mongol ruler wanted cash payments every turn for a truce. At first glance it seemed the CHIN army and governors welcomed this idea as peace but other devices had to been at play for the Mongols to want a truce at this period of time.
We uncovered that an amount of 75-150 a turn was being negotiated.

chin people are temping to kill emperor Civfan over the Mongol issue. Many Chin's believe the emperor will bring only the destruction to the Chin people.
No comment had been made by the emperor Civfan on this matter. It seems war is going to last for awhile unless a solution can be reached.

The Khwarezmian cavalry continues its counter-attack against the Kara-Khitai: the city of Khojent fell today...
Some assassins were caught and dismembered in the mountains near Alamut: someday, we will have to burn this snake's nest...

July 15, 1214 AD.
The CHIN newspapers printed something different today in the papers.
VICTORY!!!!
Yes word has it that the Mongols are Human after all. Chin Imperial troops captured many mongols this week in a surpise attack on the Mongols in the north. Imperial troops press forward and retook the once bustling Chin city of Shangtu. The capture of this city is of small importance to the Chin empire but its the turnaround the state has needed since the Mongols and their allies the Khwarizmains attacked and plundered their way into the Chin empire. The paper tried to get word from the Emperor Civfan but no comment was released by him or any imperial member.
We were able to get a comment from a victorous soldier at the town of Shangtu.
"I am part of the greatest state in the world. I was part of the troops who took Shangtu. I captured many Mongols, now my slaves."
Wow, what can we say. The state investments in educating the Chin soldiers is paying off!
Well thats it for now.

Sultan of Delhi declared master of the universe
HRH, The Sultan of Delhi, headlined a festival act in Delhi's central Caravan Square hosted by a great number of local princes from all over Hindustan last week.
The central event of this festival, which, among other attractions, featured a number of infidels being eaten by lions, much to the amusement of the crowd, was the honouring of the Sultan.
The Sultan was named the "greatest living human being of the world, and therefore rightful master of the universe".
The Sultan himself was obviously very touched by this moment, and is reported to have burst out into tears just after the celebration's end.

Information...
This post just to inform you that I won't have much online connection (or even access to CIV ) from the 28 of October to the 22 of November: like every male swiss citizen, I have to spend some time in the army every year, and that will be at that time!
And before you ask, no, I don't like it at all, but by chance I was able to arrange things so that I'll have a few days off every week...
So I'll have access to the web every 3 days (or nearly) in the next month! This shouldn't be a problem and delaying the game, but in the worst case I might need 72 hours to play my turn, so no need to bump me...
I hope you don't mind...

Word has just reached the Pope that the heathens of distant Asia are simultaneously fighting one another.
The Pope is pleased.
