Solver, stop whining. You weren't the first person to see those pics of Markos anyway...

A funny thing about the directory...
There are those language options. There is a flag of USA for the option English.

I tried to upload an image from my pc. Then I got e-mail from Daniel Quick about the link. Now, where is the picture I uploaded to your directory? Is it lost somewhere in the byte-space?

One question and one request:
First the question: Is it purpose that you have to copy and paste all the links in the FAQ about the Apolyton Directory?
And now to the request: Is it possible for you, Markos, to make it so that I can view the new Apolyton database in CTP2 default forum style?
BTW: Nice to have a regular updated CTP2 database again.

aaglo,
I tried to look for somekind of a clue on that language setting, but apparently it doesn't seem to check for the language settings of content viewed with the broswer, or at least I couldn't get any difference with that. The flag setting on Poly doesn't neither have anything to do with that. But when clicking on one of the flags and closing browser or visitng an another webpage,a nd then returning to the Poly Dir, you get it in the same language as you previously had chosen. So it's a cookie.
Markos, could you confirm?
Solver,
why didn't you upload those pictures then? I did it just because no one else had apparently yet thought about doing that. But, if you're really disatisfied, then my appologises are yours. Thanks for the pics anyway!
The rest of the pics were just added as new links by me, so they're probably available soon.

Just some español search issues:
I think that the español version of
Images/Products/Links
is different from that which is said.
In addition, the country flag names are messed up:
English= ingles (accent on the e)
German=aleman (accent on the a)
French=frances (accent on the e)
Spanish=español
Italian=italiano
Portugese=Portugesea
Sweedish=Suise (I think) or Svenska (or something like that )
I'll see If I can find any other proofreading errors that you may or may not wish to fix
-
EDIT #1- In the file descriptions; they are all in English... I think this is deliberate, but if not, you may wish to fix it
EDIT#2- Top=Popular (as in a popular Link)

Ras,
Well, I got so bored by reading reports of Locutus and Gramphos doing new stuff there, that I actually didn't know it's nearing opening .

I have suggestion...
Why not let Apolytoners that speak natively those languages that are available for alternative language versions to check the respective translations for typos, spelling, grammar and English mutations like Discuss in the Finnish version?
At least I could volunteer for the Finnish and Swedish versions of the Dir.
Ban me, flame me, call me DL or newbie, but I'm strongly supporting my suggestion...

I do know your personal website and I checked there, but the image map doesn't seem to work with Mozilla (1.0), so I had to re-visit the page using IE, so that I could access the Greg link. Sorry if I gave an impression that I wouldn't have heard about your personal homepage.

Markos,
What do the numbers mean?
Files (27/433)
Images (8/7)
8 images in 7 links? vice versa? Something completely different?

the first number is the total subcategories and the second the total links
and if you ask where are the 27 subcategories in the Files category, they're hidden

But the directory is basically the same as it was 3 months ago!
The differences are just the hidden folders and the new pictures.
Well, I hope we can all enjoy the directory when it has more contents (more scenarios, mods, etc.)
