I'm against all kinds of bribing. However, the AI WILL bribe our cities and units.

And I usually bribe them back.

Other then that....I don't use much bribing.

Anyway...we also have to set down a few more ground rules like:
No Wonder sharing.
No Unit sharing. (aka Trading caravans to eliminate trade routes. Trading Diplos to eliminate embassy travel, trading units to extend units moves, etc...)
Diplo-guiding.
Black Clicking. (Finding cities by clicking on the black area.)
and Bribing

I think "wonder sharing" refers to giving 20 warriors for the city with Leo's, or renting out your GL city to the local fundamentalist.

Diplo-guiding?

Hmm
I say NO to all bribing except that of the AI's units. City bribing allows massive land extention via money.

The AI will bribe us, but not much. No Bribing at all is best, then we can have a nice war. Even knowing this is a Democracy, I do not understand how Bribing was approved. Let's start, then immediately repoll on bribing.

The voting was done a while ago....and either, those people that voted for bribing are no longer with us....or a bunch of people not in the game voted anyway....and voted for bribing.

As far as I see it. It's like 7 votes against, and 1 for. Go Ren. So no bribing will be the rule.

I know that from apolyton's end we have had a big drop in citizenship and those that voted one way before may not feel the same way now. I offer this suggestion...

Re-poll the bribing rules and see what happens, those who vote now know that game time aproaches and will likely be here for that, whereas the ones who voted earlier will not be, this is a game of the people and thier wishes must be heard, even if they change every few weeks. LOL

I would also be in favor of re-polling the PBEM or realtime poll. I myself have come to realize that the realtime setup can be way more difficult to manage than ever guessed. I will see if the other Apolytonians agree and report back here.

I will re-poll all the game rules.

In a huge multi select poll.

But the con's of scheduling real-time is over come by the gains in the overall feel of the game. We have an awesome game going on at GC. Once we find that time where every team can make it....we won't have a problem.
