Have you already done your duty and bought official Poly merchandise?
As there has been an aggressive campaign for marketing Poly for a while, I thought it might be interesting to know how many have actually ordered from the ACS store? As far as I have noticed, quite many seem to have been persuaded by those "help save the kitten" and "God bless Apolyton" banners, and ordered themselves mugs, mousepads and T-shirts.
I must admit (includes a small complaint) that I haven't done that yet, as those goods are not really so cheap when you include shipping and the actual payment process (especially if you don't have credit card like me, so a SWIFT cheque isn't so cheap). That would mean if I would like to order (as I've been thinking of) a Nuclear T-shirt (grey), it would cost...
product 16,99 $
shipping 7,00 $
SWIFT cheque ~ 20-25 $
That would make a grand total of 44-50 $. Almost 50 bucks for a Poly T-shirt. Oh dear, that's what I call expensive. So I'll have to forget about buying a nice Poly T-shirt.
Or I could start selling fake Poly merchandise for about the half price of the official products. That wouldn't be hard to arrange. Cheap child labourers in Vietnam. Isn't that what Markos is already using for the official stuff?
P.S. Don't take the idea with fake merchandise with too much seriousity. I'm not in favour of child labour.

A cheque available worldwide. The cheque is ordered in your local bank and the cheque is processed by sending the order electronically to the accredited local bank (i.e. Manhattan Chase Bank in USA, if using OKO Bank in Finland) in the destination country (i.e. USA, Greece) where it's then printed out and sent by mail to the receiver. So in general it's like a normal cheque, except it's printed on paper in the destination country.
Got it?

But where's your vote, Markos? Don't you have any Poly goods? Or have you aquired them illegally under the counter by not paying for them? Or went even that far you stole them?!?

Not a bad idea if the text "My words are backed with nuclear weapons" would be visible on the card as a slogan. That would at least solve all problems with getting credit when using the card for purchases. People wouldn't at least dare to refuse credit from someone who's backing his/her words with nuclear weapons.

I would really like an alternative to both credit cards (don't have one) and the SWIFT cheque (too expensive).
Edit: Just occured to me: can I mail Euro notes? I mean, I don't think you'd be losing money...

Ordering by check or money order
To place an order using a personal check or money order, purchase your products online as if paying by credit card. When prompted to enter your credit card number, simply check the box marked "Pay by Check or Money Order" and click continue. Once you complete your order, you will be given an Order Number and shown a final receipt page. Print and mail this page with your payment to:
CafePress.com - Orders
1933 Davis Street, Suite 204
San Leandro, CA 94577
Please write your Order Number on your check/money order. If you are unable to print your receipt, please include a note with your check clearly stating your Order Number.

Zealot,
sending a SWIFT cheque doesn't have the same pricing in all countries and banks, so you'll have to consult your local bank for details on that. And you can't send notes to Markos as the payment should be directed to CafePress.com (US based company). Unless you're trying to bribe him.
Markos,
money order and cheques (normal or SWIFT) aren't the same thing.

Caesar, nice to see someone else who's also into fake Poly goods.
So should we start a firm in Asia and distribute those goods worldwide to Apolytoners who just have to pay half price compared to the stinking ACS store?

cw,
I can imagine that banner would be offensive to you, given that you are a kitten and all.
