Ottomans, Spain, Viking, Carthage, Korea = Confirmed (5). Celts or Gaulls = either is in. (6).
Leaves us with two more, possibly Turks or Arabs, but those are likely not in, since the Ottomans are - Incans and Mayans can be in, though.
I've already stated that for many European players there will actually be too much Asian civs.

Any ideas on their qualities? UU?
This discussion about who's in started ages ago, I can't believe it hasn't finished yet!

Yeah, I missed Mongols, stupid me .
Right, we only have 1 civ we don't know for sure. Well, generally 2 - 1 is we don't know if it's Celts or Gaulls, 2nd we don't know at all, though rumors are Incans, Arabs or Turks.
Firaxis said Korea is in in one of the chats.

Firaxis mentions Genghis Khan (Mongols), Hannibal (Carthage), Isabella (Spain) and Brennus (Gauls), and their screenshots also show the Vikings (Norse?).

Firaxis was "duped" into saying Korea was in.
someoe asked a few questions about Korea, and this is what got him (IIRC, this is all from memory)
poly guy: "Is the Hwacha an artillery unit?"
firaxis: "yes"
poly guy: "Aren't the Koreans at a disadvantage for getting a golden age with an artillery unit?"
firaxis: "Would you say the Americans are at a disadvantage? But, then again, I know a few more things about PTW than you do."

That doesn't necisarily conferm that the Koreans are in, the Hwacha could be a new artillery that you get at gunpowder.
So far, the only civs that have been 'officialy' released are;
Spanish, Mongol, Celts, Viking, Ottoman, & Carthage.

Surely there will be at least one American civ, right? But if not, perhaps Firaxis is strategically holding back a few really cool civs for the next XP.

...so...
Carthaginians
Celts
Mongols
Ottomans
Spaniards
Vikings
Koreans
Since we have the Ottomans already, I don't think they are going to include another muslim civ.
If they want to cover the whole earth surface, they will probably include the Incas, but I don't think it's very likely to see a civ from Oceania in PTW (the polynesians, for example).

Once again: Firaxis' site confirms the following civs (text + screenshots):
Carthage, Gauls, Mongols, Spain, Vikings
Korea is not mentioned (yet).

I think the Arabs are out actually. Looks like the figure head of what looked like an Arab leader previously might be the ottomans leader. Not happy!!!!

Well, I also remembered that they asked if the Hwacha was part of some Japanese pack or a second UU for the Japanese. Firaxis said no, so unless the Hwacha is going to be a generalized artillery unit, it has got to be for the Koreans.

Wrong. Firaxis said that Hwacha is a Unique Unit, because they said it can trigger a Golden Age. It's all in that chat.

You're right IMO. And while I'd like to see the Arabs in (even more than the Turks/Ottomans), there is at least hope now that the Incas are civ no. 8.

I thought they said it can't trigger a Golden Age because it can't kill anybody.

lockstep, I hope you are right about the Incas being in because then at least it I could take the loss of not having the Arabs in a bit better.
