War Academy: Urgent Fragrant Valley Alert
We should NOT attack Fragrant Valley. If we do, and we defeat its lone warrior defender, we will auto-raze it. Then another civ, very possibly Greece, will plant a city there. Let the Americans keep it. Think of them as a place-holder: we'll take it on the second America war.  I'd rather face American spearmen (their nation already crippled by one pruning war) than Greek hoplites. It will be ours eventually. And by the time we do take it, we will have enough presence and infrastructure nearby to keep it.

A good point. Weakening the Americans too much could be bad for us.

Excelent point. Might I suggest trying (I doubt we will get it, but worth a try) to get chicago in the end of war treaty. Else keeping it as a place holder will work out to our advantage.

Actually, if we keep our warrior right outside of it i think we can win it. They will be much more willing to give it up if we have units near it.

IF they give us the city in negotiations, great. But don't try to capture it -- we don't want it auto-razed.
