I am the best man for the job because
-I have been, am being, and shall be very active
-I will work as much as possible with other ministers
-I will make sure to listen to the people and both major parties
-I will compromise
-The whole court thing is over. Case closed. I did not end up being even charged with anything.
-I will appoint ambassadors to other civilizations.
-If allowed to, I will make an ambassador to the CFC C3DG, to learn from them
-I will answer any questions you may have.

Why do you like tap water so much?
What plans do you have for promiting peace with our neighbors until our war with america is done?
How will you account, financially, for the large expenditure of making embassies (I assume that is what you mean by appoint ambassadors) with nations that are far away and will have little, if any impact, on us in the near future?
but realy, my most importand question is the one regarding tap water. Why? Just say it!! SAY IT!!!!
(Apocalypse shoots godking with tranquilizer from his blowgun....Godking passes out obviously relieved to be asleap)

As a minister of the Economy, I will support establishing embassies to other countries : we have much money for middle ancient, and this should be used for something.
Also, as we're likely to get dyes within a few turns, we'll be able to lower entertainment rates, and make +2 gpt to make our inome even steadier.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!
Did anyone els find this statement funny in a cute kind of way?
*rant warning*
At first I had no idea what he was talking about, then I thought "oh THAT case thing? that was nothing" then I looked at the line again and it just looked so funny that jdd would even let something like that bother him, but yet he doesn't want people to get the wrong idea.
So did anyone els giggle when reading this???

I think we all have a great deal of respect for Sn00py's amazing graphic mods and such, so no offense to him, but jdd2007 really should have won the Foreign Ministry job.
He's active, enthusiastic, insightful, and a generally all-around good guy.

Apoc : until now, we never skipped unopposed elections. nopposed candidates were against the banana, just to check if the candidate is really hated or not (Trip invented this, and got the lowest score ever against the banana, 60% )
But I think we should skip the election. The sooner we'll have a foreign minister, the better. As an interim FAM during turnchats, I don't dare to take big decisions, such as creating embassies everywhere and such. A true FAM would do better for our empire than myself.

I know we've never skipped before. This is different since this isn't a normal election.
In the episode of King of the Hill about low flow toliets, Hank Hill wanted to run for city council or the board or whatever but since there was a vacancy, he was automatically in. Ninot should support no election this time around since both the Simpsons and King of the Hill are FOX comedies. This is assuming, of course, the court okays this.

The voting is suppose to start Wensday. It has already been three days. If there isn't any more candidates by the end of Wensday, I don't see a reason to wait any longer.

Seeing that no one else appears ready to enter the ring against Jdd, then I would like to announce that will run for the Post of Foreign Minister(as an IND for right now).
As for why you should vote for me:
1. I am experienced in Civ 3, very active in the Civ 3 Demo game, and am able to participate anytime, without periods of long absences.
2. That avatar of Jdd may look cool... but do we really want someone with that kind of appearance as our Ambassador-in-chief? The last thing we need to do is tell the rest of the world that Apolytonia is full of warmongers eager for blood. I am busy working on my own avatar, which will mix a peaceful depiction of the banana, yet remind the world how strong our nation is, and will soon become.
3. Third, I understand how very important diplomacy is at this stage of the game. With the strong likelihood that a war with France is emminent, we need someone who is watching out for Apolytonia on the international scene. I will do my best to make other nations understand that Apolytonia is full of peaceloving, banana easting people, not blood thirsty imperialists. As Foreign Minister I will oppose any military action that will jeopardize our relations with the other nations of our world. No sneak attacks, not until we have Nukes that is! On Emperor the AI is looking for an excuse to gain up on us, and I intend to not let that happen!
Well, that is my reasoning. Now let the best man win.

your views are too diplomatic, Donal. i agree that our reputation should be a priority, but wars are neccessary to survival and flourish. you dont want other civs to attack us, but even if we have no wars at all, they will strike eventually. i would think that you would know this. to grow large, we must wage wars. i support limited wars with set goals, but not extended world wars we could be dragged into. When the time comes that such a war might be unpreventable, then we must be prepared.

Well then...
Then I guess I will have to change plans. Perhaps what we need is an official seal of Apolytonia. That will work with my idea as well.

I know that we need wars now and then. That is something that goes without saying. What I was attempting to get across was this:
1. Wars should always have a end-goal in mind, one that will create progress for our nation. Once this end-goal is no longer possible or is distorted, time to pull out.
2. The AI loves MPPs. I mean loves to use them to screw the human player over. On emperor, we must be very careful in not letting us get gained up on by half the AI players. This won't be a problem for a while, but even military alliances can prove dangerous.
3. Mainting good relations is essential to our survival. What will likely be the the center of our empire happens to be smack-dab in the middle of our continent. We occupy, or will occupy, land everyone will need to get access to different parts of the continent. Our reputation is the first line of defense, as well as a strong army. I believe in Teddy Roosevelts Big Stick philosophy: Have a large army, but only use it when you have to.

yes i am familiar with it too:
'speak softly, and carry a big stick'
1-i agree with you here mostly
2-we should get allies in the future so that if (banana-forbid) we did enter a world war, then we will not be alone
3- expansion=priority #1
good relations=priority #2
