Didn't know you worked for Poly Eli.
The stats look fairly equal, nothing to wet your pants about.

Hehe, my friend's website is hosted by Zophar's Domain.
And why should we be afraid of CFC? We have our forums and our chat and our interviews. What do we care what they do?

Well, Apolyton claims to be "the biggest site for the greatest computer game ever and it's sequels, Civilization"...

Hm. Time for some underhanded dealing.
We'll buy out some of the smaller fansites, add some nominal sections to this site, and assassinate CFC's character. Apolyton'll be back on top before you can say "Enron".
Seriously though, do they have more material than Apolyton, or do they just get more visits to their ugly-colored, illiterate forums?

That sounds about right. Whatever you said. Seriously, the fact that it took me a couple of minutes to figure out what you meant is worrying, considering that I got 85% in Computers Engineering.

if the biggest site is not necessarily the most visited site and the definition of most visited site is not based solely on hitbox stats, then MarkG has no comment on the claims put forth

If Poly wanted to be the most visited site it would introduce pornography........with admin consent this time.

As CFC doen't cover CTP1/2, actual just a tiny forum for CTP1 and CTP2 doens't count, so for me it isn't real Civilization side. A real Civilization side covers everything around Civilization. But another interesting observation about this ranking is that you can also find some emulation sides and abandon game sides on the list, all these grey stuff.

What else do you need to know about CTP aside from that it is an abomination?

My five cents...
Poly still covers a much larger section of Sid's production and has a larger number of extra features (i.e. shop, radio, The Column). I refer to my very recent pro Poly post ( ) on CFC: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showth...447#post395447, where I listed some of the things Poly beats CFC in. So Poly still is the site for me. As I said, more activities; and if you're settled here, then it's easier to stay here and be active here.
Sagacious,
here's some porn for you, if you can't wait for the official section:

Here's my 2 cents.
I like the people and administrators at Apolyton they are amusing and classy (come on guys, Ming is the greatest moderator of all time! "One way tickets to Mingapulco!" )
Unfortunately, there was a time period that everything you downloaded from Apoly was named "attachment.zip" and then you had to know to rename to its original name for it to work. I think that drove a lot of the graphic creation business towards CFC.
There's also the size limit of uploads. I can upload all of my Leader .flcs at CFC cause the 2.2 to 2.6 Mb size is under CFC's 3 Mb limit. I can't upload them here. Heck, Thunderfall (at CFC) even offered to post some of my complete leadersets which are 20 Mb files
Although if I could figure out a way to it I probably post all my graphics exclusively here.

How can people argue with a clear fact like that?
[for the record: I've got almost 800 posts on CFC, which I visit daily, but it sure is an ugly site and all the quality of most posts is rather poor]

Hmmm... can't find anyone on the list ( http://www.civfanatics.com/aboutus.shtml ) who would be him... But indeed that "moderator" input is abusive. I'll PM Ming and Markos. That's something what needs to be removed and a penalty would justified, IMHO. At least I assume none of the known mods have done that, so something wicked is going on.

I assume it's a DL of an Apolytoner that has gone wild.
BTW here's my response to him: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...28#post1163478

He's had his last before his first.
It is possible that he was a Polyzen gone wild. Many other possibilities exist also.
Anyways, it is now ancient history buried amongst the skulls of Mingapulco. I seriously doubt that any sorcery will ever reassemble the body parts into a whole anew.
