*a wandering nomad stumbles across an old discarded tome and and reads the title - "The History of Apolytonia"* Intrigued, he researches the past and decides to try and locate the lost civilization. After years of study and more years of travel trying to locate the lost civilization, the nomad finds a small outpost in what the residents refer to as New Apolytonia. Inquiring at a bed and breakfast, he decides to take up residency for a while.

As the leader of New Apolytonia, I resent our glorious nation being called a small outpost

heh, sorry about that . I was going to use the city name Saragossa (furthest outpost i could find in the recorded history), but then started looking at the picture thread and the president's report and figured it might be a fairly large city not quite on the edge of the empire, not to mention it might not even be called Saragossa any more , so i tried to imply i had found an unnamed small outpost (new fortification) on the outskirts of the developed region or maybe a city like darkness' fort or rabbitton. anyway, guess it came out wrong leaving out a city name

well, for now i can't be much more than a member of the voting public I don't have MGE and am still reading the first few threads trying to get a feel for what the democracy game is all about. After all, I did just revisit all these forums after an 18 month absence

Welcome Dr. Spike!
Always glad to get more citizens for our DG.
Take a peek at the history. I've heard that it has a pretty good summary of the past democracy game, as well as some of the things everybody should know.

After a whole year of searching for my Civ II disc my puppy finds it. God knows where he got it from, but I managed to retrieve it after 10 minues of frantically chasing him around the house.
Anyway, thought I may as well join another DG
