Hehe perhaps we should start a new screenshot thread. I think we've either answered the question about whether its going to be time well spent in comparison to Civ or don't care

Well, until that new thread is created, here is another great shot. This is of a University.
Gamespot also has a shot of a train station, fireworks, and road layouts:

This is looking better and better. The scale for everything looks like it'll be a lot more realistic in this game.

Has anyone else noticed this? On the University picture, there's a lot of benches, but on each of these benches, there sitting ONE guy (there's always "room" for two people), and that guy has always the same clothes on, so it's always the same guy...Not that it matters anyway, but I like to look at every little detail

Theyre clearly the cardboard figures they used in The Sims, (look at the 2 just slightly to the top left, one is bending over slightly like a retard) but i dont think youll be concentrating on him when theres a force 10 tornado wreaking havoc in the local neighbourhood.

I hope so, since it will be unfair for all the other citicens, that they are not allowed to use the benches

Yeah my system is getting closer to being obsolete. A 766, hopefully will last through next year but I am not holding my breathe.

I wonder if I'll be able to destroy the bridge and watch the cars plummet to their doom.

I wasn't good at SimCity, I usualy always run out of money by the year's end.
Now SimEarth, I was great at that, I usualy was able to get three civs to exodus before the sun exploded.
EDIT: BAD TYPOS...

I couldn't get into SimEarth... just didn't really understand the inner workings of the game, I guess...
Now SimAnt... that was a fun one...

SimEarth does have one hell of a learning curve, but after you understand it it works out fine. Nothing like building a civ and then crushing it with meteors and other disasters.
SimAnt was fun, but I never got into it.

They said, even with the best PC avaliable (for normal custumers), it's impossible to play the game zoomed as much out as possible, and with all details on...well...you can play the game...with 2 frames per second...But still...would be interesting to know how large the map can get...

Then of course, SimFarm... couldn't get into that one either... to me it was just a mini version of SimCity so I wanted to just go and play that instead.

Well, I wasn't talking about zooming out... I was talking about urban sprawl.
