Are these improvements it planned for civ 3?
Are these improvements it planned for civ 3?

- IA improven
- Management of buildings and units being in cities at the time of bombardment, so that when one bombards a power station or an atomic missile, it creates an atomic explosion destroying the city.

Good lord!! This would totally destroy game balance!
You could just bombard your opponents cities from an aircraft carrier and watch how his continent turns into a large ugly dessert!

True.
But the point is that the game would lose much of its fun!
NOBODY wants to play with the whole planet being a polluted dessert...

I like bombardment, because, in later ages, there is NO other way (except nukes...) to conquer well-defended cities without too much losses.

But if bombardment is made TOO effective, it also won't be challenging any more to attack a city.

The effects of a nuclear meltdown are exaggerated.

Chernobyl was a worst-case disaster. Its consequences were still at a much smaller scale than Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

A worst case disaster is a nuclear meltdown, which has never happened

WHAT?
Radioactive clouds all over Europe, a large area of Ukraine radiated and uninhabitable, hundreds of thousands of people dead, handicapped or homeless!!!
If this is at a much smaller scale than Nagasaki, let me know...

American power plants are designed in such away that a power loss shuts the plant down safely. The only way you would get a Meltdown in an American nuclear power plant is by EXTREMELY poor upkeep including destructive behavior by the power plant workers or sabotage.

So maybe make a spy mission for Sabotage Nuclear Power Plant, and give the Russians a 5% chance for meltdown due to poor engineering.
