New Wonders
This topic has most likely been discussed many times before but here are a few wonders that would make the expansion interesting:
Tower of Babel: it should be completed in the modern era. What it should do im not certain..... maybe use that as if you became the planet .
Mirrored Satellites: Mirrors placed around earth for 24 hours of light (Russia tried to do this). It would increase production for all (though it would help those who built it most) but cause diplomatic trouble.
How about a wonder for stopping riots when there is only 1-2 unhappy people
World Market: adds 1 commerce to every city square for every nation, 2 commerce to square in city built in.
a museam (cant spell, too lazy for spell check)
small wonders:
biodome: adds 2 food baskets to each city
Fort Knox
Tokyo Tower (then a Godzilla weapon is given to every other nation but that one)
other wonder ideas that may or may not work:
the temples that align with the constellation of draco in cambodia
stonehenge
the place where the monkey king resided (chinese tradition)
Vatican
herods temple
Taj Mahal
Random tangent: somewhere in the modern era there should be a technology that allows us to build sea colonies. I loved colonizing every square inch i possibly could in alpha centauri.

This is very wishful but...
Suez or Panama Cannal!!!
Built only in a city two land squares away from two seperate oceans which it would join when built.
How many times in a game I've wished I'd had those...
Another more plausible wonder - Effiel Tower. I miss the ability to make other civs forget you betrayed them again and again and again

This is more futuristic than modern, and it shouldn't be in the game unless the game were to go into the future.

Here are a few wonders that would go nicely with the new civs we are expecting (or not) in this or the next expansion pack:
Angkor Wat counts as a temple in all cities within 4 squares
Stonehenge city squares in all cities within 4 squares get +1 of everything
Salomon's Court decreases corruption
The Ten Commandments improves culture flipping odds
Camelot reduces the production costs of mounted units
The Thousand and One Nights (or: Grand Bazar) decreases waste
The Great Mountain Road reduces the time to build roads
The Inquisition expells citizens of foreign cultures
Topkapi Palace increases the effectiveness of artillery
East Indies Company counts as a harbor in each city
Kinderdike Mills +2 shields in each city at river/lake
Red Cross allows wounded units to return to nearest barracks
Sydney Opera House makes 8 content citizens happy
Kruger National Park no pollution from forests squares
Freud's Interpretation of Dreams counts as a luxury

The associated tech should IMHO be Romanticism (from Arts and Nationalism).

Hmm... Yeah, I suppose that makes more sense than than 'Crazy architectural design'. But mine still sounds better

Perhaps it could work like the "Steal Plans" spy mission, and only showed them if you wanted to see them.

Surveillance Satellites
I'm a bit dissapointed that the Apollo Program dosen't reveal the entire map upon being finished, like it used to do in Civ2 (and Civ1? can't remember). Perhaps the entire map should be revealed when Satellites is discovered (and it should be up-to-date).
I agree with NeoStar that removing the fog of war would be too much and drive me nuts. Also, it would be more of an advantage to the AI, since I, for one, could not stand watching the AI units all the time, and would probably not notices any important moves, such as ship full of units passing by my Battelships without me noticing. Even if I did see that ship, I'd probably forget about it before it's finally my turn. Consequently, a small wonder/discovery/whatever that would reveal the map should not reveal unit moves.
/me wonders how easy it would be for a RL satellite to spot units (compared to, say, (rail)roads and other terrain improvements)

But then again, w/o any unit moves why bother?
I've been milling over this satellite wonder problem too but all I can come up with is a bit abstract:
Maybe an 'incoming attack detection' satellite system. This way, it would only reveal AI units coming towards you with the intent of attacking - some sort of super surveillance gizmo.
We don't want to see the AI mindlessly shuffling workers and units back and fourth, but I wouldn't mind seeing only the buggers out to get me.

Here is my ideas for new wonders
Ancient Age:
Stonehenge: free temples in every city, availible with Mysticism.
Middle Ages:
Vinland Saga: +1 LOS with all ships until Radio, availible with Engineering.
Notre Dame: free cathedrals in all cities on continent, availible with Engineering.
Industrial Age:
Red Cross: double healing rate of units, availible with Medicine.
Trans-Siberian Railroad: corruption from distance from capital halved, availible with Steam Power
Statue of Liberty: doubles chance of city culture defection to your empire, availible with Democracy
Modern Age:
Kruger Nat'l Park: same as Ribannah, availible with Ecology

I have a suggestion can we start/edit our posts with the following format:
Any wonder ideas that can currently be made with the editior in bold
Any wonder idea that CAN"T be currently made with the editor in italics bold.
That we it'll be easier to see new concepts and also see usable wonder ideas.
Just a suggestion.

Suez and/or Panama Canal- allows a ship to transport itself from any water square in the city's (that has the wonder) radius to any other water square in that city's radius.
Effects transferrable with ROP agreements. The thickest land mass you would transfer through would be 3 tiles due to the city radius restriction. I figure it could be a button (like bombard) that appears when your in the city's radius and using the canal ends the unit's turn.
You could set the maintenance cost fairly high.

Seems like very few ideas in this thread can be realized in the editor.
There is a similar thread in Creation with only possible ideas.
