City Planner's Report (settler activity): In the beginning...
We currently have one settler (our lone unit). There is a goody hut in the city radius of Melfort. What should our settler do to occupy his time?

Admittedly I'm not experienced in Demo games, but I'd be wary of popping that hut. If it turns out a group of barbarians, this could be an awfully short game. Accordingly, I'd recommend taking the hut with our first Warrior.
I voted for our Settler to build a road on whichever Plains we are farming, to give us some much-needed science income.

The hut is within the city radius and will not contain Barbs. The worst that could happen is that it may be empty.
