It would be unfair for Milan to be kept, Belgrade is probably ok. Milan is simply another route into France should Germany wish to attack them, and it's a pretty big and well developed city. I vote on leaving Milan undefended until the Independants capture it, then leaving it for a year or so to give them a chance to build up their defences.

So, do I start the scenario, play my turn, set a new password, and post the saved game as a .net file? What level shall I set for the game?
Of course Germany, being under new, peace loving leadership, will accede to international opinion and withdraw from Milan.

Prince. It's the right thing according to FMK's and Henrik's PBEM-guide at least.

I followed the instructions, so I think it should be OK. I noticed some French movement by the AI before my turn started, though. This is despite starting the scenario as the Germans. I hope it won't mess up the French move.
The German troops have been withdrawn from Milan, as required by international agreements. Troop redeployments have taken place, correcting the aggressive deployment of the previous, discredited Kaiser, which were clearly aimed at France. New deployments are more balanced and defensive in nature.
BTW, are the trade units supposed to be blocked by zones of control? This makes establishing trade routes very difficult and frustrating.

Yup, that was intentional. Exile wanted to make coastal cities and sea transport more important.
Also, we congratulate Britain on their wise actions, yada yada.

Japanese news
Civfan, are you sure you pressed Ctrl-N at the end of your turn? I'm sure I saw some unidentified units moving in Russia.
Also, some of my ships carrying trade units had begun moving beyond their previous position. They had moved a full distance the previous turn and somehow between turns they moved another turn. The AI saw it fit to unload some goods on interesting places and one of my warships made a mad attack on Korea. No production orders had changed and none of my land units had moved.
This doesn't really matter, the damage wasn't that big, I'd just like to know why and if I can prevent this somehow. Anyway, I'll dl LazyCiv and use that in the future.

I think it messed stuff up when we got rid of the passwords, I dont know why Russia's units moved on your turn but I know mine moved beyond there last postion when Germany played his turn, I think when we did the Snc. file it reset our turns, hence everyone before Germany got an extra move via A.I.

Oh, okay. Cheers Prometheus. I'll post my turn then.
Japanese news
Commercial investments!
Chaos in the merchant navy!
According to the Imperial trade ministry, several Japanese trade ships were taken off route. Two crews even mutinied and forced the captain to set sail towards Japan! This is all because of an anarchist who managed to infiltrate the Naval headquarters and send out confusing orders to several trade ships. This saboteur has been caught and will be punished for his crime. The Imperial Navy re-assures the nations of the world that the military part of the naval headquarters is completely free from infiltrators.
Captain goes mad!
Commander Shuiyiki on the IJN Kikijo was arrested yesterday by military police. He was arrested for ordering his ship to leave it's harbour in CLASSIFIED and sail towards Seoul. There he bombarded military positions of the Koreans.
The IJN reported that the ship was 'damaged but still fit for duty' and the Kikijo is currently returning to it's home harbour. Japan re-assures that this was an isolated event, a deed commited by a mad-man. This should in no way be seen as Japanese aggression.
The Imperial navy promises a thorough investigation will be made.
Emperor vows help to Korea!
After the unfortunate accident the Emperor held a speech in which he gave his deep apologies for the incident. He also promised that the Empire of Japan will protect Korea against any possible invaders. 'Nobody may take advantage of this tragic accident' said the Emperor.
The Empire of Japan promises that any aggression against Korea will be seen as aggression against Japan.

Britain Begins to Lift Blockades
Britain has now lifted the blockade of the French coastline, and would like to announce it's full support of the new government in France. Hopefully, France will now be able to build itself into the economic superpower in Europe that it ought to be. We are also please to see Germany come to it's senses and allow Milan to rejoin Italy. It's good to see the destructive work of the former insane German leader undone by peaceful means.
As for the other blockades, they will be removed gradually in the coming months.

Russia announces a two for one split in the emperors stock. All hail the new dollar. The russian dollar is now worth 2 old russian rubbies.
The news has caused alot of confussion among the russian people but all are hoping in the reforms of the emperor. More food has been plowed this month than before.
Reforms in the planning!
-The building of schools. People in russia are dumb. They dont have any manors and drink to much. They well be reformed! This stated by the emperor of Russia. The Russian Senate has confirmed the name of Civfan.
This is an honor of an ancient order. Many hail this moment as a great achievement of the emperor.
Only three rulers of Russia have been given this honor.
One for his modest generously of resources to the people.
Another ruler was given this name for his battles of the east.
The third ruler was given this name for his powerful building program in Moscow.
So what does this honor mean. Civfan= A powerful presence in history, building and reforming.
What an honor!
Daily Moscow news out!
