...but the same thing applies for them too - time, which I might not have. (if you meant that comment for me, that is)

...but that won't have to be necessary either, since practically anyone willing can have the job.

We *could* have abridged them "Minister of Ind. and E" and "Minister of Int. and E" or something but that's a lot better. Now I just have to remember which is which.
Edit: Neh, I'm having a Bad English Day. =/

I'd say no. Let's call it one week after that starting of this thread. There are still cases with one or none participants.

Yes, that might be appropriate. Or we might wait till every position has two, provided that it doesn't take ages.

Voltaire> We're discussing about the election time at the moment...
And everyone in the Democracy Game is eligible to vote.

Heh, that's true. Actually, the two times I was elected City Planner, I had no opposite candidate.

How about electing just the commissioner at first, and let him worry about organizing directorate elections? It's not as if the directorate has anything to do before the game begins anyway...

Oops, I didn't know it was already discussed. Anyway, in that case we shouldn't really worry about nomination deadlines quite yet, except for the Commissioner's post.

Well, that seems viable, anyway.

Perhaps someone can complete a list of all the candidates, what positions they’re running for, and what parties they are part of. That would make things easier in preparations for elections.

It doesn't look quite up to date to me. Though I’m certain it will be in time.

Well, we had two candidates for each position most times, but then the Civ3 game started, so ppl flooded over to join the squabbling (it's still going: NEWSFLASH: Military Commander UnberKruX is calling for a revolution to change the leadership ). We lost a few more in my Presidential term when we won the game. There seem to be enough ppl here to have more than one candidate for each position, at least to begin with.
