Could you divulge more information regarding your plans?
For example, do you keep the entertainment bar as low as required just to keep our towns running or are you going to try to achieve 'We Love the Despot Day!' in several of our towns?
Also, what are your thoughts about techwhoring?

Good questions. I will answer the last one first. In our current position, we need to quickly catch up with everyone else in the tech department, we don't dare fall behind. I would hate for the Germans to get Chivalry before we do... cuz they will use knights when they get them. However, and this will not probably be the case while I serve my term, we will eventually not want to propagate advanced technology thorughout the world. At one point it will be to our advantage to not tech trade, so that we may be one of a couple of the more advanced civs, rather than first among equal. Part of this is natural, as some AI players will run out of cash, but part of it will be due to our manipulation.

Now, as for the first question, about we love the ???? day... I need to have some information about the exact effects that "we love the king day" brings. How much does it reduce corruption? How much does it encourage growth? Will we make more money in the long term, or would we be better off without it? That is something I need to determine, through play testing and asking around.

What is your stance towards deficit spending ?
Through what medium will you keep the people informed of the state of our economy, and the worldwide distribution of resources ?

At this point I don't mind spending some money, but usually for only a few things: to upgrade units, to quickly build structures, and for trades. That is it. (of course that is also pretty much most of the things you can spend money on anyway!). However, we are, last I checked, in the early midieval. When I play, I use the mid-late midieval period for my golden age, and stock up on money during it and the early industrial age. My goal is simple: grab as much cash as possible during that time period. The only time I would spend money would be for a must-rush building, a trade, and one that wouldn't be huge, and for upgrades(and even there, only if I have to). Even there I wouldn't go overboard. I find that having 10 gold by the industrial age is the single best guarantee that I will not succumb to my petty neighbors, as having it acts like insurance: I don't have to use it, but can if I need to.

So I guess what I am saying is that while i may not mind some spending now, I will be pretty frugal later on.

Oops, I forgot that K behind the 10. I meant 10,000 gold. That is difficult in Emperor, but certainly having several thousand should be possible.

Quick Questions
1) Is anyone running against you?

2)What purpose/duties would there be for proposed Deputy Minister?

3)Who do you have in mind for the Deputy Minister?

4)What is the single biggest strength you posess that makes you the best candidate for the office?

From my experience in games, WLT*D has a huge affect, and I'd be strongly for a strategy of enducing it empire-wide. I've got to look at what your opponent(s) (if any) are saying, but I'd be very favorable to any cannidate who'd be willing to seriously consider the WLT*D as an option -- I believe that we might loose some money, but the gains in production and general happyness would be well worth it.

As for the extact stats, I've forgotten them, but I'll try to remember to look them up and will post them if I do.

Ok, plenty of questions to answer.

1. As of this time, I am unopposed. Which means the banana will have a good election.

2. The Deputy Minister I appoint, not sure who yet, will be charged with several main duties. First, to take my place should i not be able to attend a turn-chat. Second, to check out my policy, and see if there are any gaping holes, or potential pitfalls. Thirdly, the Deputy Minister would be in charge of seeking advice from third parties, as in polls and PMs to knowledgeable people.

3. I am not sure yet who to pick for Deputy EM.

4. That is tough. I would say my biggest strength is that I have learned through hard experience how to squeeze as much money from my cities as possible.

I wonder if anyone knows the exact stats on WLT*D? That is something that I will have to find out, because the fact that we are not a Republic or Democracy means corruption is high, and reducing it may be advantageous.

Campaign contribution. Heh, it's tax deductible.

Doesn't a city have to be size 6 for WLT*D? I think I've seen that in the editor.

Yes it does, so we won't have to worry about it for a while.
