Help please!!! I can't play Multiplayer
I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could help me with this. The thing is that I have installed civ2 MGE in my PC (PIII 800, 128 SDRAM). The installation seemed to be fine. However, when I double-click on the desktop icon, a pop-up box appears stating: GETFRAME: ICDecompressEx returned -3

The box cannot be closed no matter how many times you click on the OK button and the game never starts.

Help me please! I am really desperate. I tried to contact MPS and of course they have ignored me. You guys are my last chance!

Really? They answered my question... About your problem, I really have no idea. I'll check on it, though.

You neglect to tell us which OS you are running - it may well bear particularly if it is NT or W2000 ...

I answered that already in the MP section. W98, UK version. I am very suspicious of that fact cos in my work I have W98, US version (same hardware) and the game runs smoothly. Does this make any sense? The ultimate proof that British English and American English are NOT the same language?

SG,

Thanks so much for pointing me to that thread. Now I have a few things to try before I get totally insane

PS. Still no word from Hasbro/MPS. Nice people indeed.
