max civs and MP
the editor now lets ya set up to 31 civs...
[dunno if you can play 17 to 31]
in PTW can we have mods with 24 player civs and 7 AI-only Civs or could 24 players choose from among 31 civs and let other 7 civs be AI contolled?
just curious...

Interesting...I imagine you can mix AI and human players, but 31 players!..The diplomacy could have to be completely overhauled...The diagram of foreign affairs might be one big mess.
In the event of war, a long string alliances could end up going to guns on you! Although such a long string alliances should be easy to break up through negotiations....especially if they are human players- maybe more open to talks(i hope! )

actually they need to revamp it anyway for 16 player games. [f4 diplomacy screen]
the shift-d wouljust put them in 2 columns [i think..]
or let players choose which ones are on that 9 leader screen.

I think you'll be able to play 16 players in PTW.

More than 16 players?
16s enough for me, especially on a big map. Wouldn't mind them adding +8 slots for a 'gigantic' map to allow every civ in the game.

I think 16 players would be enough. If they made it more than that it would slow the game down two much

When trying it out with a mod , it actually goes fine , and the most intresting is the fact that it aint that slower , only a small 5-10 % .
This is done with a total of 30 civ's and the barbarians .
