AFAIK a RR around Gdansk ( ) was one thing hte Germans demanded from Poland. They wanted a small stretch of land to build a RR and a road to East Prussia. So it wasn't there at the beginning of the war.

Oh, ok
The presence of a city should only allow the Germans to send ignore ZoC units such as freight around Danzig/Gdansk. All military units will have to go by sea

Not necessarily. The Germans could place non-ZOC units on the railroad and then move military units through the resulting "ignore-ZOC" tunnel.

ARGH! Like the Mafia, every time I think I'm out, Civ2 keeps pulling me back in.
Looks Great, though I must buy another Civ 2 MGE Disc, I threw mine out (please let the powers that be forgive me!) One thing though, if Austria is Italian, then you can't very well have an Aschluss without Germany either
a) Laying siege to and ravaging Austria, awfully unkind to their southern brothers and ruining the chances for an Axis, or
b) subverting them, assuming you leave diplomats in the game (which yoiu probably won't)
The only other solution is to somehow persuade Italy (If you're playing a MP game) to give you the cities. That's gonna cost a lot.
Just some thoughts

Yep, that's exactly what I'm intending to happen As things stand, the Italians can't really hold Austria against a full scale German attack, but on the other hand such an attack would be costly for the Germans. As such, both nations have a big incentive to cooperate.

Oooh, I gotcha. Sounds great, I'm on the edge of my seat. One last thing...There should be an event that lets the Germans take Sudetenland without any repercussion, but once they move on Danzig/Warsaw, WWII starts.
One final request (I know I said the other was last, but what the hell?) Please don't force war to occur in 1939. If you set it up so that it's likely to happen, that's fine. But please, no "MakeAggression" events

JCP, mac versions are easy to do, I convert all scenarios I can get my hands on and upload them to the cfc mac scenario server, there are a few allready if you want to download some
This scenario will be no exception, when it's released I'll convert it. (and I think you'll be thrilled to learn that PBEMs, which is this scenarios main area if I am not misstaken, work perfectly fine with both macs and PCs)
Currently I have 1.4 GB of mac scenarios on my hard drive (I havent uploaded nearly all of them unto the cfc server yet though).

How about the Italian Navy?
It'd be perfect as a wonder as then it would never leave port.
If this is "optimised for pbem" - I take it that means its designed with MGE?

That's actually a really good idea! - I'll represent it using a useless wonder (in PBEMs) like the Eifel Tower.

I've only got a bastardised version of MGE which I load with a CD which displays an ad (!), so I've been making the scenario with FW, and I'll convert it over only at the last minute. As such, I'll release an FW and an MGE version
BTW Rav, you should download the MGE 'patch' from Civfanatics.

Yugoslavia is going to be represented by the barbarians mainly because I didn't want the neutral dictatorships to have such a large piece of real estate, but also due to a certain person of Polish decent getting cranky when I sugested making Poland the barb nation
|
I surmise it is about me...
Why thank You!
i was only joking then...
There already was one scn with Poles as 'barbarians" and
I think that it is some sollution...

So is this scenario available to anyone who asks (me for instance)? Also how does multiplayer work (and yes I would rather have your explanations than going somewhere else to find one)?
and as for this...
"Yugoslavia is going to be represented by the barbarians...due to a certain person of Polish decent getting cranky when I sugested making Poland the barb nation"
I understand, my goodness, that would have been an insult to barbarians everywhere!

No - you'll have to wait untill I either release it or look for a few playtesters.

I've finished placing all the units (as a bit of chrome, I've placed all the German units in their historical bases as of 1936 ), and I'm now plugging away at dull stuff like the events, games.txt file and general bug hunts.

Er, it's been 'on hold' for a while now.
Seeing as it's 90-something percent complete and I'm currently unemployed, I'm willing to send a copy to anyone willing to give it a look and sugest new ideas (there's heaps of free event space). If you're interested, post here or PM me your details. I'd really like to finish this scenario, so some outside feedback would be great.
