For CIty Planner, if OPD and I tie we have talked about going in front of the courts. This may make interesting reading...... The election ends this saturday at 7:30ish however. (EST)

Hm, I will wait for the results to be finalized, then. Especially since we have such a close election there.
What is the court going to do, flip a coin? jk

This isn't true at all. If there is a tie I will be demanding the traditional solution to "two men in dispute."
Thats right I will demand
"thunderdome"
Jk.
I almost want a tie now so that we can see what the courts come up with. Perhaps something to do with the new ministers votes.

thunderdome.........
OK, but you have to come to Detroit
I will be happy to provide the use of my guest bedroom and as much beer as you would like (or tequila, my personal favorite). And of course bananas as well.
I have no idea how the court would handle a tie, which is why I think it would be fun to see just how they do it.

'Two men enter, one man leaves'
Anyway, on to the official report:
The week was spent once again campaigning and electing our new officials. The people have chosen:
President: MrWhereItsAt
Vice President: UnOrthOdOx
Foreign affairs Minister: Togas
Minister of Economy: Donal Graeme
Supreme Military Commander: UberKrux
Minister of Science:
City Planner:
Public Works:
Minister of Imperial Expansion:
(edit in something on city planner if it is in dispute)
Interesting discussions have been taking place regaurding the naming of our currency and the formation of a mini-game. The mini game would involve forming an economic system that while based in the actual game, is totally seperate as well. This would allow for greater role playing and perhaps more involvement on the citizen level. Keep an eye on this should it come into being.
The court has been a place of much activity as well. Making it's first ruling, a dismissal of Case #2. Case #1 has been subject to a much more interesting debate amongst the respective sides. The case has entered it's public opinion phase, and will soon be in deliberation. A third case was also thrown out before a hearing took place based on lack of evidence. Many have stepped forward to express their gratitude towards the court and their organized, and informed process.
As always, you can find more in (links to Gazette and current map)
OK, any mistakes, corrections, or additions?

Maybe you should add something about the in-game that has been done this week (7 turns) : we now have troops stationing near Paris, ready to march on it next week.

UNORTHODOX-- I want you to take my place permanently as historian (or at least until you retire), a post that was abandoned by myself two days ago, and is sitting wide open. Is this OK?

My word. Now I notice Unorthodox is Vice President, so the historian post is empty right now, and until someone is nominated, it will stay open.

Unortho:
You forgot the Science Minister election, which Apoc seems to be winning in a landslide.

Apoc's ahead 42-9.
And the chances of a comeback are equal to those of our swordsmen getting killed by a horde of flying pigs.

Nope, Kids in the Hall. It's a Canadian sketch comedy show that's syndicated on Comedy Central. Funny, but it's very... odd.
