So there is an English term for that.  Not exactly the thing you'd find in Encyclopeadia Britannica. 
Our term is raggarsträng.

I'm finding that my leg hair is getting darker as I get older. I have also found that periodically I will have a rogue hair that will spring up in a most unlikely place and it was a bit un-nerving the first time it happened.
