Atheists are 40% of Apolyton, thus far (only 5 votes). Perhaps Im more at home then I thought.
Edit: Freemasons I thought was a 'secret' organization, not a religion? Or is there a religion specific to the organization?

Well, Freemasonry is not only a secret society (not THAT secret, btw), but it also have a specific spirituality. To sum up, we could say Freemasons are builders, and they build according to "god" plans, the Great Architect. This spirituality involves, like a religion, certain beliefs about morality. But on the other hand, Freemasonry spirituality doesnt have the same use than religion. Religion have been made, IIRC, to organize people's time : lifetime (baptem, weeding, death, etc...), day time - with the hours of prayers, day in the year (St Jean, Christmas instead of the winter solstice, etc...), week time, according to grecoromans deities, then adapted to christianism, etc... So we cant really say Free masonry is a religion, actually...

Kramerman, on some polls atheism was anywhere from 50-60% of the forums....
I voted atheist... and I am proud of it. But atheism isn't a religion. It is no religion.

The last thing I saw a religious preacher did was ask for $5 in a "generous pledge" to help his bank account in Zurich, erhm, some starving kids in Zimbabwe.

I see. I just always thought that freemasons tended to be wealthy, well educated upper-class folk who tended to be Deists, but that is what my old US history book made it seem, IIRC.

I don't know if agnostics can be classified in the same genre as atheists. I think agnostics believe in a higher power but don't commit to any one religion whereas atheists don't believe in a higher power.
I'd vote for agnostic or "Amalgamation" option if there was one.

Definition of "agnostic," off of dictionary.com, is:
a. One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
b. One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.
I think what you're describing above is Deism or something.
Found it on a bumper sticker the other day. It fit so nice, I kept it.

"Judaist (Zionist)"? I'm not voting in any poll that can't even get the names of the religions right.

Ive learned to put my faith in only to places, for my own good. 1) myself. If i let my own dumb ass down, I cant blame anybody else but myself. And 2) science/mathematics. It has yet to either let me down or be uninteresting

As an atheist I have no problem calling it a "religion," in the sense of being fundamentally a-rational and thus a matter of faith. I'd even say atheism is the purest form of faith, since as a negative it is by definition unproveable, whereas each of the other faiths can be proven if their particular pixie actually shows up someday.

Why is Baptist included separately from Christian Protestant, but none of the other Protentant subdivisions are?
And atheism is most certainly a religion since it makes a statement about the universe which cannot be proven.

I agree to the first statement. Not all jews are zionists (and vice versa...) Zionism is a political-religious ideology made political practice (kinda like imperialism or sharia laws)
But 'judaism' is the proper term for the religion of the jewish people, right? Based on the teachings of the Old Testament and the Talmud?
To answer the thread question: Iīm not religious and donīt go to church. But since I canīt be arsed to leave the Church of Sweden Iīm technically a Christian Protestant.
