Hello all...went on a train ride today.
Hey all...I know it sounds odd, but I took a train back from Mingapulco today. Don't believe anything you hear...the food is only average and the roaches are huge!!!
http://www.mthoodrr.com/
Anyhow...Mrs. Sneak bought me this cool brunch on a train that started in Hood River, Oregon and went up into the Mt. Hood area and back...very nice.
I forgot how zen a train ride into nature can be. Its a shame our country doesn't put more emphasis on rail travel. Portland is doing a ton of work on its lightrail system...connecting far flung areas and nearby cities...so there is hope here.
It would certainly help pollution and road rage issues.
Well...nice to be back...I missed you guys.
Don't plan on doing that again any time soon. (Mingapulco, that is...couldn't even score a bag there!)

Welcome back.
Be grateful, at Markapaluco I didn't even get food!
Well, there was some food there, but a database glitch deleted them.

Yes...I engaged in a rather ugly flame war. Only the second time I've been enraged since coming on the Internet.
Has anyone done studies on net rage? I imagine it is a lot like road rage, which, oddly, I don't seem to suffer from. But I am a victim of extreme road irritation, however.

I found it soul-cleansing. To watch that much bile being splashed around over such a non-issue really put things into perspective for me...

That's what I was thinking. I didn't even care what anyone said...it was all a big goof.

I like trains - not the nasty, dingy, drug-riddled commuters that run from the next neighborhood north of me to downtown, but the sleeper train type of thing. Unfortunately I don't get to go on them nearly often enough - the last real train trip I took was from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, more years ago now than I can count.

No classic trains to ride in your area? I would think most good sized cities would offer that.

Cool! I love travelling by train!
It was a crying shame that the passenger railway system in the US is practically non-existent US wide. We looked into a trip, but it was far more trouble than it was worth...

Someday, someone will build a mag-lev or a bullet train between Los Angeles and Las Vegas and make a forture. Even a simple choo-choo would be a vast improvement over what we have now.

I believe that is inaccurate, as I have already said in a "different" forum that Asher frequents that I wouldn't do that.
It seems the reason is more along the lines of him thinking everyone is a moron that doesn't "get it" when it comes to him. And he's probably right...nobody "gets" anybody, IMO.
But one thing--and I've made this very, very clear so there is no misunderstanding--talk **** about, threaten or malign me, no problem; include my child or my wife or other family, and I will consider nothing out of bounds in regard to my response.
Creepy if you like...but assuredly true.

I took the train across Canada it was absolutely incredible.
I had no idea how Zen train rides into nature could be until that ride.
Miles and miles of uninhabited land really quite awesome, I plan on doing it again in the future.
I have found no websites about chat forum rage specifically but there is lots on internet rage.
Some people have even put up sites like this one: Momentsofsimplicity.co.uk that has a selection of chilled out music and images to calm surfers down.

Go in and win Sneak.
I hate the family attack too, and supported the creating of the rule against it. The fact that the original attack was against Ming just got the rule in that much faster. Automatic banning for attacking family...
So that's what happened to the other guy, what happened to you? Blow up at the jerk?
Been there done that.

Niether were right Red, Sneak has at least owned up to that. His personality here at least says to me he was being honest in the fact he would have never done it.
An attack on your family Red is simply wrong, you simply can not ignore that fact as you seem to want to do. Sneak blew out justifiable and has since explained himself and admitted it was over the top.
Insulting one's family is equally appalling to most if not all the people here you Red?
This situation was resolved a long time ago we all agree niether was right. Well most of us seems thier are two holdouts...

What a crock of ****.
I said, in a post that was clearly aimed at YOU and how much of a "man" you are, I included in a list that included a quickie marriage at vegas that you had a bastard child.
You did have the child out of wedlock, and it is a bastard child, Sneak. Sure, it's not the nicest word to use to describe the situation, but I wasn't exactly in the mood to rephrase things to be nicer after I wrote it out.
It clearly wasn't a personal attack against your child, since I've never met the child and don't have anything against it. And anyone with a ****ing brain reading it could see it was in the context of talking about YOU and YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
Stop trying to go around rationalizing your cruel threats and your sickening attitude afterwards by using your son as a shield to protect your ego.
and blackice -- stay the hell out of this, it's not your concern and you're just using the opportunity to attack me and my family like you did on counterglow. Shouldn't you be in the corner crying about why women don't like you or something?
And Lancer -- you don't have any idea what the hell you're talking about. I would read the ****ing thread before trying to make an opinion on it.

Asher you are rude inconsiderate and immature. Have you ever heard a parent call thier child a bastard child?
Do you even hear that word used anymore?
You obviously used it as an attack on Steak your just not man enough to admit it.
Quit trying to justify a completely "rude" and inconsiderate thing to say about anyone's child...Grow up
Stop attacking family members you lamer. Especially innocent kids your a joke buddy the worst kind.
