How come Hoplites have zero-move? Is that to reflect that they were attached to each poleis?

We need to wait for Corinth and Sparta. So hold up Soundwave.
Once we get them, then you can conquer

It's jsut funny because in the civilopedia, it syas they both have a zero move rate, while in the rules.txt it says they have 2. Anyone know why this is happening?

As directed by the council of elders, Spartan soldiers have mobilised for war! Several war bands from the east have been spotted crossing the mountains and we're repelled at a local village. The survivors have fled to the city of Prasiae and King Leonidas is leading his troops to the mountain pass to ravage the city.

Why not, after all...
Well well, it seems I recognize a few names here...

OK, I might join as Corinth (but please, tell me they are not ridiculously feable, for a change )

Just 1 question: which scenario is it ?? That is : what is the exact name and where can I find it ???

As you notice, Soundwave, I changed my mind: I should be able to find some time for one more PBEM, hopefully one where you don't need to give me techs all the time

I think I found the scenario: is it the one by John Ellis ??

And what about the "rules" Soudwave posted ?? are they to be used instead of the original ones ??

I'll sign you up Cyrion. yes it is the scenario by John Ellis. Soundwave still hasn't said what he changed, so until he does, just use the regular rules.

So how does everyone feel about using Soundwave's changes.

Let's all decide so we're on the same frequency here.

I don't mind, just post what you want.

No offense Soundwave, but I'd rather we used the original rules. The scenario was designed with the low move in mind. Most units have high movement rates anyway, so 1/2 roads would totally imbalance things IMHO.

Cyrion, great that you could join. Don't worry, Corinth is fairly powerful and doing well in the tech race

Athens under the leadership of Pericles, have captured Salamis. A great victory for Athens as they are enlightening everyone to their democracy.

More Questions
Had a look at the scenario yesterday evening and it looks really interesting (and Corinth seems to be a nice place! ).

I have nonetheless a question regarding the use of heralds: what is "allowed" in pbem with them??

1) bribing of AI units ?
2) bribing of AI cities ?
3) bribing of other players units ?
4) bribing of other players cities ?

The question didn't occur in AOW as they are no diplo units in that one...

This is generally something that is agreed upon between the players of a pbem, in the last hellas pbem we allowed city bribing and unit bribing as long as the cities and units did not bellong to a human player.

Hrm, Athens might want to check out the tech three, democracy is not an existing concept yet
