Wonders
En easy question for the experiencend civ3 players(which obviously don't include me)
If you capture a city with a great wonder, do you get the benefits from that wonder?
I've seen that you don't get any culture from buildings you haven't built yourself.
How about small wonders, do they disappear or get destroyed?

If you capture a wonder you get its benefits (e.g. if you capture the pyramids then all your cities behave as if they have a granary) but you will not gain any culture for that wonder. Ever.
Small wonders are destroyed, I believe, and the previous owners can then rebuild that wonder elsewhere.

you sure about that last bit? The manual talks about the "glory - and culture - accrued for possessing a wonder" - it says nothing about having to have built it.

also on a sidenote:
wonders cannot be destroyed by bombardement!!!
they can however be destroyed when they switched hands a couple of times.
( size1 cities without any culture producing buildings are autorazed)

So size1 cities with wonder(s) are safe from destruction unless you choose to raze them?
How about other culture-generating improvements(temples, librarys) do they survive a conquest. If so, do you get culture point yourself from it? (probably not)

AFAIK, yes.

I have never seen any of these improvements survive invasion. If you are lucky you might capture a barracks, a harbour and a granary. In theory you should be able to capture factories and power stations. But nothing of cultural value.

Improvements that produce culture are automaticly destroyed when you take a city. Or if your city is taken as well.
Small wonders belong specificly to the civ that built them so they go away as well.
All other improvements can be captured with the city. However if you bombard the city into dust there won't be anything left. I have taken cities with a lot of improvements in the modern era now that I have cut back on artillery use but the AI doesn't build everything half the time so thats why you don't see them. They just weren't there to take.
