Problem is we produce 38 food and the population only consumes 28.
Maybe if the government gave everyone a silo to maintain excess food supply in leu of the fact that there's a war going on..
Course there are 6 labor up for auction and their owners will have to feed them (at most that would take out 6 food, at the least 3).

I think that the rest should be bought at half of market value for the soldiers, as there's a war on.

A silo wouldn't really help solve the problem. Think, if we have too much supply now, think about when the silos fill up and people start selling it all off. Prices will go WAY down (even more so than now *shudders*).

Yeah I think I posted that suggestion a while back where the government bought all unsold food at 50% of the final selling price.
Nobody seemed too keen on it though.

I'll rent it for $150 a turn, assuming this isn't permanent. Several players wanted me to run their lands until we settled on a final system, and then they would take over again.
It would be nice if you stated Yes or No in the Proposals Thread.
(To the proposal not necessarily my offer.)

GhengisFarb - I've just put an offer in the trading thread about hiring someone to manage my corporation. If you could do so, I'd love to hire you.

This new trading thread did it for me. I am out of here.
I leave my estate to Captain. I trust this solves at least one problem that did not exist in the first place.
I wish you all a lot of fun in the rest of the game.

I'm assuming we're using the old system with Frances' adjustments for the next trading session (#5) . I'll have to rebuild my spreadsheets and try to get it started within the next 24 hours.......

I've been away for a while and I have no idea what's going on in the mini-game anymore. Could someone point me to a list of the rule changes?

Click on the links in the first post in this thread.
Trading Session Four had current rules posted in its first post/market assessment and I plan on doing that from now on so you don't have to keep hunting for other threads to see what the rules are.

Could I get E, I, and F? I don't know how much I and F are but I would like to get as many different tiles as possible.

I gave you E, I anf F and priced I and F at $400 each as they also produce a commerce. If you don't want this let me know, you would have $1000 debt this way and 15 turns to pay it off starting this turn or next if you don't post this session (it ends this afternoon).
Alternatively you could have G and H instead of either I or F which would give you 4 jungle tiles at the same price.

Yay! I'd much rather have E, F, G, and H. Just call me Lord of the Jungle!

I'll be bidding on A.
Is there a rule against buying one tile for cash and borrowing for another?
For instance, could someone bid cash for F or G and bid borrowed funds for A?

Vote in the Session 8 thread, if approved the players will bid during the trading session.

We captured 7 French workers and enslaved 3 more from former cities in the most recent turnchat, and also bought two English workers. Combined with the 8 French workers we captured the chat before that, there will be twenty vassals for auction next session.

Correction: 23 vassals for auction next turn. Unless you don't want to count slaves that were built, Ghengis, but since the game treats them the same, I don't see why we shouldn't. (Grenoble and Tours are both former French cities, and their populations still cling to French ways.)
