Horror of getting it to work
I bought Warcraft 3 today and was full of anticipation as I installed it and then proceeded watching the intro movie. Then the game freezes, a black screen, no possibility of closing the program. I restart the computer, dowload new drivers for my graphics card, soundcard, motherboard and make sure I have the newest Direct X installed. Of course none of this makes any difference, right now I just feel like giving up but perhaps anyone here has any advice? Otherwise you might just want to share youre stories of "not working horror".

I honestly dont feel like calling overseas just to get this fixed. I should be able to work it out without that, I dont know how though.

What is your video card? Make sure Warcraft 3 works with it.

Its a Geforce 4, can't see why it would not work since it's hardly a rare card.

You can prob'ly contract Tech Support via e-mail.

Recently, I bought Morrowind, which went back to the store when I couldn't get it to work. I traded it for Jedi Knight Outcast, which I'm not thrilled about.

When I was at a different store, I splurged and bought Neverwinter Nights. I couldn't get that to work either, and the store wouldn't take it back. I did everything I could think of and finally contacted Tech Support. In a day or so they e-mailed me the answer.
