A proposal: comparison game in honour of Xin Yu's 'civmanager'
Xin Yu has just published his 'Civmanager' and asked us to try it in order to detect remaining bugs.
Some of us have been playing a lot of succession games lately. Why not a comparison game for a change?
Therefore I make the announcement that I shall play the 'Rome' scenario as Ptolemaic (UCC = with huts), making use of 'Civmanager'.
AFAIK I am the current recordholder with 88 turns. I hope to beat that, with help of Xin Yu's new weapon, but don't ask me how , because I won't tell you just now .
Anyone willing to take part is welcome, and I swear I shall discuss any detail with anyone willing.

Thanks a lot La Fayette! I'm also curious how CivManager can help. It may be able to make the game less tedious, but breaking a record?

Well, it would help me. Because in the beginning of a game I'm very careful, micromanaging everything I can. After a while I get bored and start getting sloppier, skipping some of the rushbuying for example.

I am afraid I won't be able to tell you, because anytime I try using CivManager it replies that I should start playing MGE. WHat I play is UCC and I think it is the exact European equivalent, but it is a Fench version and I have had problems before with playing 'homemade' scenarios. My friend Julius Brenzaida knows the solution if the problem lies there, so if you have no idea what happens to me, I shall ask him.
In the meantime, I have given my leader the name of 'Ptolem Yu' and he is doing his best to conquer the Mediterranean ASAP

La Fayette, from a post of Hydey I figure this might work: reinstall UCC, but instead of using the UCC patch, download the 1.13 patch for MPE and run it.

212BC: Ptolemaic elephants take La Tene. Ptolem Yu reigns. 21 objective cities conquered (the previous record, 88 years, held by La Fayette, is now reduced to 66 years, by La Fayette ).
This was in honour of 'CivManager', unfortunately without help of 'CivManager', since La Fayette failed to install it .
The record is beatable, but CivManager is unbeatable

That's impressive! I'll try to beat it using caravan rehoming .

Savegame, yes.
(the game was played with huts, which means UCC/MGE, but WITHOUT caravan rehoming)
I guess Xin Yu might be able to come close to 50 turns, making use of caravan rehoming .
