What new civ's will be included?
Hi,

Do any of you know what new civ's will be included in PTW. Also, why are they trying to hide such information from the general public? I know they've disclosed the koreans, norse, turkish and spanish for sure, but aren't there 3 or 4 more civs?

Will new qualities be introduced?

BTW, are there plans for a future expansion, and if so, will the Hebrew's be included?

-Thanks

So people can't wait till the game is out and buy it immediately afterwards to see what is new. In other words: To keep the sales high

The "official" list of civs that are included (made with the information provided by previews and screenshots) is Spanish, Mongols, Koreans, Vikings, Carthaginians, Turks, Arabs and Celts.

Known unique units are Conqistador (Spanish, 5/3/1, replaces ???), Keshik (Mongols, can't remember the stats, ???) Berserk (Vikings, has marine ability, replaces ???), and Gallic Swordsman (Celts, 4/2/2, replaces ???).

New Civs:

This just in from CivFanatics, as reported from PC.IGN

Carthaginians: Commercial/Industrius, UU is Numidian Infantry, spearman with increased attack/defense and no special resources
Koreans: Commercial/Scientific, UU is Hwacha, cannon with increased bombard and requires less special resources
Mongols: Militaristic/Expansionist, UU is Keshik, cheaper Knight that requires less special resources
Vikings: Militaristic/Expansionist, UU is Berserker, Actually Berserk Longbowman with increased attack, defense, AND amphibious attack
Spanish: Religious/Commercial, UU is Conquistador, weak, cheap, requires almost no special resources, treat all terrain as roads, and doesn't replace anything
Celts: Religious/Militaristic, UU is Gallic Swordsman, swordsman with faster movement
Arabs: Expansionist/Religious, UU is Ansar Warrior, replaces Knights, and are faster and cheaper
Turks: Industrial/Scientific, UU is Siphai, a better attacking Cavalry Actually Ottomans and Sipahi

Cool, we get a somewhat later game UU for the Turks good to see that.

Anyone notice how all these special units seem to completely mess up the old UU norms? The original 16 were all modified on ONE value only, attack, defense or move, granted though the Japanese and the Indians got some resource changes (and I'm not sure if the regular tank had blitz . . .).

With these new ones we have weird changes to multiple values, including even cost.
What's up with the Beserk(er)? A longbowman? With an extra ability, and extra attack and defense? Won't that more or less make it a better attacking and amphibious Medievel Infantry: 5/2/1 with amphibious?
