Fire and Roses PBEM?
I felt like promoting one of my scenarios
So, is anyone up for a Fire and Roses PBEM?
If anybody feels this scenario needs some tweaking before it's pbemmable, please tell me..
These are the players:
Ghaznavids (Stefan Härtel)
Abbasids (yop73)
Turks (Darius871)
Samanids (geoffrey arnold)
Bujids (yaroslav)
Ghurids
Indians

Well, I have not try this scen, but I have try others from you and I love them. I'm in, if you allow me that
I can play Bujids, if no one have problems with that.
And about auto-promotion (I shame, I shame), I think that, perphas, we can use my Diplomacy Utility for Civ2 if two players wants do tech or money exchange.
This utility allows player exchange barters directly

My situation:
My science is booming: I have a new tech every 7 turns, but with caravans, every 3 turns.
I don't have any military, and I'm in 960.
Am I doing good or not, Stefan.

To Stefan:
Nono, because the AI didn't give me any trouble. When I play with you guys, having no military at all might get me into trouble, so then, my playingstyle shall be different.

We need at least two more players for the Ghaznavids and the Ghurids. We can play without an Indian player.

I'm gonna change the events file removing all the negotiation blocks and makeagression events. I'm not sure wether I should remove the army boosts for the Turks too. As the Samanids, I'd be happier without them But it's up to you, Maciej...
Also not sure if I should give every civ a hero unit to balance things a bit. If not, then I'd remove the current heroes as well. Whaddaya think?

Everything you do is fine for me, as long as you keep my government on democracy.

Don't change anything! It shall be my first PBEM,
so surely I'll be poor and helpless. As always.
Anyway, I'm a very peacefull player...

Allrighty then, I've made a little update. I hope St.Leo will post it soon.
BTW, Maciej, are you sure you have the correct version? If not you can download it here: http://www.civfanatics.com/civ2cedric.shtml
I'll post a PBEM events file soon.

Okay, I decided to get the game starting and took over the Ghaznavids instead of the Samanids. I hate to do this, because I think the Ghaznavids should be played by a more skilled player than myself, and if anybody joining in later is willing to play the Ghaznavids, he can do it and I will return to the Samanids. As I don't expect this to happen, I will of course play as if I wasn't going to play the Samanids later on. I will of course not play both civs.
At least we've won some time now until somebody else joins in. It's your turn, yop.
I hate to make this announcement, but I will be off from Thursday afternoon until late next week. I learned of this departure only today, I'm sorry. I hope some players will be interested in this game soon enough to fill my spot. If yes, just play.

Here's the version 1.1 rip-off entitled "Fire and Roses special PBEM-edition"
Other changes you will notice during the game will be that there's a lot to plunder

Just move, I'd say. Same for Civfan. If anyone else joins in, that'd be great, but we can get the game going this way.
