Good series... haven't seen all of it yet, but I've liked it thus far.
When did that happen?
And who did it?

Dodging spoilers while surfing is quite a pain, tho... if I see anywhere the words "Neon" or "Evangelion" or "NGE", I just scream and hit Alt + F4 as if my life depended on it.

I'm entitled to my opinion, however.
I don't plan to troll with it though. Sorry if I gave that impression.

Oh dear, something Kassiopeia and I both like and agree on. Is the world coming to an end?
Seriously though, how could you not have seen NGE yet? It's been out for so long, I would've thought anyone interested in Anime would have seen it long ago. I've personally long since moved onto other titles like Nadesico, Serial Experiments Lain and Boogiepop Phantom.
And completly flipping my displayed personality here upside down, I'm also a great fan on shoujo. (Yes, that's right, the bastard also happens to be a complete sucker for sap. Don't look so shocked. ) If anyone out there sees a copy of "I My Me - Strawberry Eggs" out there, I encourage you to pick it up. You won't be disappointed.

I didn't know the thing existed before this spring, until a good friend of mine started to tell me that "you must see Evangelion".
I've been practically living in a barrel before I got an internet connection after a few years of not having one.
And I'm not particularly interested in anime (this is the first series I'll see), well not yet, because the only way I can see some is to leech off friends, since my comp and connection, well, suck big. But, today, I'm expecting to get at least three to four hours of NGE watched, and the rest of the series by the end of this week.

A perfect example of how beliefs don't affect personalities that much... one doesn't have to be a total bastard to be an atheist (if that's what you're referring to, that is).

Prepare to have your mind fried then, especially by the final two episodes. Also, D&R's available now, so see if you can get that as well. EoE shouldn't be out on DVD for a while yet, but you many be able to get some fansubs somewhere like I did.
Yes, that's what I'm referring to. Though actually, suprisingly, I'm not an athiest. Or I am. I'm not sure. I waver between that and Deism on a semi-regular basis.

Nope. Japanese Animation.
Though if you want to discuss religion / philosophy I can certainly oblige.....(No, that isn't an implied threat. ^^; )

Yeah, that's what you have to do... my cousin (who he and I own the DVD set together) has shown me some anime music videos... well guess what? Part of the last battle is on there... he almost got a beating for that one.

Another good one IMO to watch is Escaflowne... not the movie, mind you, but the series. Full Metal Panic is also good... have that as fansubs... haven't seen any other good ones yet... my wife isn't too fond of how women are drawn so I have to watch them when she's not home... *sighs*

Any suggestions? I'm not familiar with those terms.
She liked Escaflowne... but that's it so far... I didn't even dare let her watch Full Metal Panic with the underskirt shots that sometimes showed up.

No kidding!
Err, anyways. I'm going to write an analysis of it on my webpage... I think that there is no one Evangelion, there is only the Eva we see ourselves. Eva is different for everyone, people have such different frames of reference. Also, I don't think Eva is good or bad. It's Evangelion. It's not comparable to such mundane terms as 'good' or 'bad'. You can't compare it to anything.
What is important is that this analysis will be written after watching it once, and just after the series. As the times of viewing and the perception of it changes, I'll write a new analysis, to monitor the transformation in my view of it.
I haven't seen EoE or DaR yet, unfortunately. Probably in the near future.

True. Goodness gracious, even some song titles are spoilers... and considering how old NGE is (8 years, about? gotta check), people might not look into spoiler protection that well. Heck, I've got a friend who has seen truckloads of anime but not a scrap of Eva.

We could do that, but I'm afraid that any thought I'll air from the region will be laden, at the moment, with Eva spoilers. And even if it isn't, anyone reading this might think so.

The New Caledonian is 0.003 energy credits and a Pepsi 0.0015. I know quite expensive, but you're supporting the CCCP and P4 by drinking them!
The fungal gin is our factional drink and cheaper. You can have one for no more then 0.00075 ec!

May I propose we search a name for 0.001 credits and 0.00001 credits? That makes daily use easier.
