Loads of banned users. I think most of the 415 missing people are DLs or test logins created on the old UBB boards, and not transferred to vB for some reason.
The few I know of are "Dr Doom" (I think) "Like a Preserved Snapcase on Stage" and "MarkG" (amusingly enough)

Galvatron- to see the number, hit your proflie and then check the ADDRESS bar above- that is your number. Take it or leave it.
Mark... about forum filters... is there any way to filter the YOUR THREADS by forum, because (crybaby mode) I have to check a whole 2 pages to see all the threads I have posted in
But once again, even if there is no filter like that, this feature is one of the BEST features of the site

Immortal Wombat- Snapcase did that to himself, he created a login longer than was allowed
And had to repost his way back up to emperor
So now he's an emperor twice
-
Galvatron- we have about 5 well known non-DLs permabanned-
RainbowJDS- Spam
Yo_Yo_Yo_Hey- Fora invasion
Stewart Spink- Fora invasion
EVC- Under suspicion of being a DL
The 2012 Problem- Hacking? Spam?
and of course CivNation2001 with a 'technical' permaban
(Although YYYH and Spink are still here in one form or another )

DC: I know, but its still a dead ex-login
Permabanned posters don't count to the 415. Deleted users do.

Yes, it's true. and many of them are in different sections.
All of the following were from 2-9-02 and some more on are on page 2! 8 had replies within the last 2 hours! The threads I post in seem to be very popular And yes, I visit on an average day these fora:
Civ III Stories
OT
Apoly/Community
Other Games
Civ II General
and Weekly: Span Civ II, Civ III Civilizations, Civ III General, AC Fiction, Colonization/Civ I, EU, All the Demo Games, and probably a few others that I forgot to mention
I get around

MY THREADS
Mark,
My Threads is a great new feature. I didn't know I could subscribe to the threads I have posted in so I learned 2 new great features from you post! Leave the My Threads in though, it is a simply way to see if new posts have been added to a particular thread. I really like it!

Yes.

Kinbud- subscribing to threads isn't that good an idea unless you want to receive hundreds of emails from apolyton

Ok here are the results so far: DANQ: 2 (ok that's clear)
BUT
MarkG: 830???
He is a CO-Admin why is he just so much behind? Are there 829 other Co-Admins?
Well further interesting figures: Ming: 6411
Rah: 1708
So it looks like Rah was active on this forum a long time before Ming joined. But I was wondering about something: Regarding the numbers they joined this forum very late? Why did they get to become moderator? What's with all these dudes before them? Furthermore I would really like to know who is No. 1. Who is the owner of this site? Well this feature is a very useful one and it was a very interesting thing to play around in my break. Thank you Poly for supplying us with all these features for our freetime.
Oh I just realized I quoted my own post I think this is surely a Poly-record. Don't think this was done before.

The first few hundred/thousand are merely arbitrary in their numbers... some are alphabetical some are not.
It had to do with the forums not having dates of registration before 2-15-99

yup. he did. You can still find some posts knocking around with MarkG as a "Guest"
Galv: people have self-quoted many times before. Its not common, but it happens occasionally.

A similar thing happened to me when we made the switch to vBulletin.
There were 2 'phoenixcager' accoutns that were created. The one I'm using currently isn't the same as the original one I was using just after the switch. So the old posts have me as a 'guest' as well.

This idea, and the recent addition of a send/return to forum button are both great. Thanks!

Any particular reason why, zulu9812- we have many topped threads- features are only new for a time
People know about them- or will find out eventually.
The only thread that may NEED to be topped is possibly the Civ-stats thread

well this is a feature that newbies won't know about, and unless it's in the FAQ they won't find out about it either.

Okay, I admit. I'm truly sorry that I have done a such mistake. I have actually read the Poly FAQ. How dare I did that.

I've read the FAQ too, but that was a while ago (before vB I think), so a lot of things must have changed. I've also read a few of the new entries.
