Unfortunatly the map was too big and had too much land, therefore the turns are too slow, even if I was able to stabilize the situation a little bit, it went too slow and the semester started therefore I don't have time to finish the game.

hmm..why are the most of you need so long time for a turn??
for one turn maybe i waited 1 or max. 2 minutes..hmm..and i play with a win98-engine, k6-200, 4 MB grafic and 128 MB RAM...that's crazy..anyway..let's see what the next tournament will bring on...

May I suggest WAW for the next tournament. It'll be tough, but should bring some quick games.

Actually the long turns means moving your own units and making sure all the cities are in order and building the right things, that takes the longest. The computer turns are nothing.

Well it looks like i wont get this finished for at least another few days, i still want to finish and post my save though (VERY early conquest victory) it wouldnt have been official anyway so it would be easy enough to add on at the end. Though i think it would be best to start up a new tournament game.
Either MedMod or WaW is fine by me.

I'm rather busy with exams and stuff right now, but I'll see if I can set something up later today.
I think it's about time we did a MedMod game, so unless I can't get it to work in time (haven't played it for a while), MedMod it will be...

This might be too late to be counted but I only recently found this site. I won with bloodlust in 2038 but it crashes everytime on completion. Intresting mod, I initially planned to try for a diplomatic win so I was a bit dissapointed when after getting the greeks to ally with me and exchanging maps early they walked up to Rome with two twelve stacks and looted it along with two other ciities. Oh well eventually I got them in the end , it was very difficult though mainly because most of the AI's maintained such a large tech lead the whole game.
You just have to take the last carthagian city.

It took a few months but finally it's here: the final score (website updated with official results).
Because everyone's savegame except centrifuge's crashed after the victory movie, I decided to not take the final score for the official ranking but the score right before the movie played. For centrifuge I posted both scores (the real final score as centrifuge (2), an unofficial score). This means that the end score is lower than it should be for everyone but the real score is impossible to track down for 3 out of 4 participants. For centrifuge this means his end year is even better, which makes his Hall of Fame score even more impressive: 3720 BC... The flip-side is that he has by far the lowest score ever: 330 (should have been 4,740)
Because there were so few entries and there's been such a long delay, I bent the rules a little to have Paul Tuckett's game count as well (thanks to this he even made it into the Hall of Fame on his first entry ). His entry was officially too late, so I retroactively changed the deadline from 3 November to 3 December - I hope noone minds
A new Tournament will be posted later today or tomorrow at the very latest.

Locutus, Just a thought, but don't you think that my hall of fame for quickest finish should have an asterisk by it, since thanks to cradle, I did have an extra 3 thousand years.

Your wish is my command
But regardless, it's still an impressive score. Equivilant to 164 turns (as opposed to 330 turns, which was your previous HoF entry).
I've looked for a better way of doing the HoF year, but I can't think of a decent way of doing it. Number of turns would be a better indication of skill, but there's not enough room for both and I don't like the idea of getting rid of the year altogether

Roger Maris was an old american baseball player, that played for the New York Yankees. He beat Babe Ruth's home run record. The record books put an asterisk by his name because the season had been extended to include more games.
