Maybe because I told him too
I figured with the wonders he had, he was doing better. I didn't realize the city count descrepancy was so large. Between Pyramids and liberating/destroying your cities, I was catching the AI quite quickly, especially since the AI stopped building cities in all the free space near him. I was taking up the slack.
Your getting fued would have slowed me down for just a turn or two while I cranked out the cats. You still had no defense against them.

None this time... maybe my daughter mentioned to her friends that I had counted the number of cans before her last party, and mentioned that two had been missing

Yes, them knowing you're paying attention helps. My daughter was so concerned at the last party she hosted that my count was right that she called me at Ming's that night to correct my count. She had my wife witness the recount, so I wouldn't suspect anything funny.
Gotta love it. Now even if I don't count, she will assume I did.

I did check the garbage cans to see if any new empties had appeared... and since none of the girls left with empties...

Yeah, I always check the recycle bin and the garbage cans, but I figure if they're good enough to sneak them in, they're smart enough to sneak the empties out.
At least we were, when we were younger.

I must have been lucky, never had to sneak, just walked in with a slab of VB and staggered out after.

Just take 5 milimeter worth of booze out of every bottle in the liquer cabinet, mix it and put it in your cola.
The parents only notice it when you fall asleep on the porch after trying for an hour to get your key in the lock

My older cousin and I did that when I was 7. Only difference was red wine instead of cola.
My father failed to woke me up until next day.
I still remember few scenes.
My daughter is only 3 y.o. So far she showed no interest in booze.

So will I, but will be participating in *other* Friday Night Strategic Gaming Society activities while RAH dominates the modem -- and often, the action!
Beer x 15 presumed sufficient to fuel our strategy forum...

Thanks. I've got a little library (warren?) of rabbits, and wanted to make a change when I hit king.
I'll assume a small crowd unless notified otherwise.

FNSGS Growth!!
BTW Ming, you may be amused to learn that
the Friday Night Strategic Gaming Society now has a Liverpool Chapter
Those oddball Brit Scousers drink wine at their meetings, but we won't hold that against them.
See you tonight.

Just a quick post to honor Ming for his latest claim to fame...

I guess they'll do anything to lure you away from Civ2, Ming.
Anyway, just thought it was pretty cool.
