Is there a difference between Save and SaveAs?
I was cleaning up some disk space and removed a civ3 file. I don't remember the name of it but think it ended with ?????_.bic. {No it wasn't the games file used by the current game and the editor.} Well after this none of the current game's files "ruler of civ, year" would load. These were the Control-S, enter files. But files that I renamed, would open fine. I have also noticed that there is less problem with slowdowns and freezing if I give the save file a name versus letting civ3 generate the name. It seems like civ3 autogenerated game saves only save the changes from a previous save and does not do the entire save.

Questions:

1. Any one else have this experience?

2. Does civ3 run faster and more dependable if always SaveAs instead of just Save?
