numbers in the city flag??
I have forgotten what the numbers on a city represent, is it population???? My wife asked and i completely froze.

But the number is not exactly on the city flag...

Well... sort of, IIRC the correspondence is that a city size of n represents a population of 5n(n+1) thousand people...

A city size of n represents a population of
(1 + 2 + ... + (n - 1) + n) * 10,000) people.
1 = 10,000
2 = 30,000
3 = 60,000
etc.

That is exactly it!
For example a size 10 city=550,000 people.
1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10=55*10,000=550,000.

I think the usual formula for the summation function is n(n+1)/2. That's the number of 10,000s in the population. SG just multiplied the formula by 10, so it produces 1000s.

So this would mean one pop-point represents 10.000 guys. Hmm according to this I'm really wondering why in the world 10.000 people could only produce two grain and one shield in one year. Very lazy guys

No, a population size of 1=10,000 guys.
A pop point of 2=30,000 guys.
n(n+1)/2=m*1000
2(2+1/2=3*1000=30000.
